Hi guys I am looking to paint my Dark Eldar in the standard GW colour scheme and I have found barely any tutorials on the internet and the ones I did find were iffy at best and required ridiculous amounts of mixing (I despise mixing with a vengeance) I was wondering if anyone had a nice simple good looking colour scheme for the Kabal of the black heart. I was thinking a very dark midnight blue washed with drakenhorf nightshade and moot green edge highlights and maybe a glaze to blend the colours but I don't know how well this will turn out, I believe someone on one forum mentioned kabalite green (if it exists) which might suit the scheme well, so any advice on this would be greatly appreciated, also I need some reasonably priced non gw brush reccommendations, particularly a good highlighting brush, so yeah if anybody can give me some advice i'd really really appreciate it, thanks guys!

I'd base Incubi darkness, edge highlight scorpion green, wash drakenhoff nightshade, then gauss blaster green on the finest edges.

Will that give it that sort of blue green colour do you think?

Well yeah the base colour is a blue green, and gauss blaster green has some blue in and the blue wash should make sure that the armour doesn't look too green.

Fantastic thank you for your advice, I take it you have experience with this paint scheme, if so do you have any pictures of the results?

That bluish green still remains elusive I fear I am going to have to mix a lot of greens to experiment.

You might try getting a hold of Vallejo Game Color Scurvy Green. If I'm not mistaken it's supposed to match the old GW Scaly Green which is kind of the color you're looking for, a very bluish-looking green. It might still not be perfect, but you wouldn't be mixing as many colors at the very least. To get that edge highlight you would probably mix a lighter color like Rotting Flesh into it but I think as a base it would look really good.

Have you looked at the Vallejo Air line?

Here is their colour chart;

Found a really simple gw scheme, I start with incubi darkness highlight with kabalite green then a final highlight of sybarite green with white/ moot green final highlights, really easy to do with good results, just not looking forward to doing my raiders with it lol, will post results when I get a decent camera.
