In 1984, a prisoner in Germany made a functional shotgun made from iron bedposts; charge made of pieces of lead from curtain tape and match-heads, to be ignited by AA batteries and a broken light bulb.

Reading that, how can you Not think of Orks?

Can you name a few real-life examples of Orky engineering?

Btw, is there a name for this kind of building style?

New Zealand's tanks from World War 2. The Bob Semple Tank is frankly ridiculous looking. It was never effective, like Ork technology can be, but it sure as hell looks like the Orks built it.

Spoiler:

Think of something clever to say.

The Germans of WWII were up to some Orky shenanigans. Where do you think the term "Jerry-rigged" came from? They also looted vehicles too.

Also some of this:

Look for prison escapes and you'll find plenty of orkish tech.

And I believe it's called Macguvering.

Thats a part of our military honour!!! How do you insult our ingenuity?!?

Seriously though the only tank we ever designed... and it had to be a corrigated iron tractor with mattresses on the inside covered in machine guns...

The Russian flying tank!

Of all the 40k races, only the Orks would be crazy enough to try putting wings on a tank instead of just making an aircraft with a ridiculously big gun.

I Heard about a gun made of pipes and scrap metal that had functional clips and a silencer, and yes it is another prison break gun. In non illegal news, a homeless man made a functional car out of trash. http://jalopnik.com/5785679/homeless-man-builds-his-own-car-out-of-junk
this man may have made a real life warbike: http://www.geek.com/geek-cetera/stranded-guy-turns-car-into-motorbike-true-hacker-or-mad-max-hoax-1491385/
And I once met a man who had powered a blender with a weed whacker, long handle and everything, they say it worked fine, but I did not want to try...
