Hello Dakka! We have a Christmas tournament at the FLGS with some bonus prize support for the holidays. Last year I was able to narrowly take first and net a sweet case. This year I've adapted my list slightly and I would love some input. We don't really have many other Chaos players in my area so any advice would be wonderful! Here's the list,

Any feedback is welcome, there are very few Tau and Eldar players in our area but plenty of other xenos and plenty of imperial players. Happy holidays!

What powers do you intend the Daemon Princes to have?
Have you considered replacing one of the DP's with Be'lakor?
It looks to be a good take all comers army, with a good amount of skyfire.
Additionally what about a second Helldrake?

I'm going to ask about proxying him, as I wont have mine till the week after the tournament. I'm going for FF and divination on the CD FMC and either biomancy or telepethy on the csm prince. He would make an easy swap for the CSM prince. I dropped the 2nd drake for more oblits, 5 flyers seemed a little much. I just hate having 1 rhino on the table, it can't really survive my opponents entire AT.

Well the MCs, Oblits, and the Helldrake appear to be your main damage dealers so I wouldn't worry about that.

I might consider putting the Burning Brand of Skalathrax on the Winged DP HQ, so then he can fly around and not get killed so easily. If you're thinking about putting him with another unit, then why have wings? And if you're thinking about sending him into close combat, then you should put him in another units so he doesn't have to accept challenges and stuff. So I would either take off the wings or switch out the Black Mace.

Cool! I havent had as much time in 6th to play unfortunately so I'm a little rusty. I've been fairly pleased with how the oblits perform 2x2 rather than 3x3 for the cost, as it pays for the havoc squad.

Looks very good, always pleasant to see a CSM list especially one with a Tzeentch DP and obliterators (my favorite units).

DPs are not Independent Characters if I remember right, so they can't join units.


As for the list, I like it. Its nice to not see multiple drakes in a CSM list, nicer still to see actual MARINES in the list as well! Although, I have to deduct style points for including Mark of Nurgle bearing units in what is almost 100% a Tzeentch list Why not go whole hog and swap MoN out for the Mark of Tzeentch and give the Oblits a 4++?

Oh yeah, it says that DPs are just Characters. But why would you have a lone unit be a character?

Apparently, it's "fun" to have your 200+ pts DP get locked in a challenge half/all the time it's in combat.

The reason I put my DP in a unit was so that wouldn't happen... now my CSM army just kinda got screwed over...
