Hey guys here is a list I wrote @1000 points for the Tau supplement, Farsight Enclaves. Here is the list, I would love your opinion on this and also ways that you could improve the list.

HQ - Ethereal

Troops - 3x Crisis Suits, Bonded, w/Missile Pod each
Troops - 10x Kroot w/Hound
Troops - 10x Kroot w/Hound

Elites - Riptide w/Ion Accelerator, SMS, EWO, Positional Relay
Elites - Riptide w/Ion Accelerator, SMS, EWO, Neuro-web System Jammer

Heavy Support - 3x Broadside Battlesuit's w/HYMP, SMS
Heavy Support - Skyray

List Tactics: Basic idea is the Ethereal goes with the Broadsides to provide Ld10 and they are placed in prime position to reach as much of the battlefield as possible, preferably in cover. The Crisis Suits stay out of harms way as far as possible and take a few potshots w/their missiles. The kroot outflank onto objectives. Riptides do what Riptides do. And the Skyray flies around and makes the enemies day harder.

Possible things to do: I could drop the Skyray for some kit on the Riptides like Talisman and ECPA. Add either EWO or VT to the Broadsides and ad some drones. Maybe upgrade the Crisis Suits weaponry w/any spare points? Tell me what you think.

Get 2 weapons on the Crisis and EWO on the Broadsides. Drop the Kroot down to Monat teams to pay for that.

What do you do against Landraiders or armies that sit in AV14 bunkers? Just concede turn 1?

I just don't get it. If you're going to play enclaves, why not take advantage? You can cram Farsight and 18 Crisis suits in at 1k. Or, you can get 5 solo suits each with 1 drone to eat wounds and the mandator 3 suit team, everyone with missile pods AND Farisght and two well equipped riptides with some ECPA, EWO, VT, the works.

Your list just doesn't justify not going straight Tau for the sig systems.

So your guys advice would be scrap the kroot and spam crisis suits and tool up the two riptides and play farsight himself?

Don't take Farsight a Mark'o commander is the best bet for Enclaves. Farsight is only worth considering for O'Vesastar.

Yeah I guess I'll second that. I take Farsight in friendly games as a Mont'ka leader; but in competitive play, he only belongs in a bomb or O'Vesastar.

NSJ is a Tau: Empire only Sig. System. Just a heads up.

With the ECPA available, why not take an HBC???
