This model is part of my 2000pt Escalation force. It was created for a store painting competition where the theme is the new technical paints. I used them all apart from the Nurgle's Rot on this model. Really happy with it.

I saw this as a WIP on another thread of yours and was wondering how you were going to paint it
Love it! Great scheme and OSL. My only comment is that the skele dude amongst the scarabs is a bit, not hidden, but he kind of blends in too much. I would paint him a darker red more like the hip plates on the cryptek so that he stands out a bit more.

Sadly my scheme is red and so is blood. I'm not prepared to change the colour of the scarabs, because they need to match in with my army.

I dont think he wants you to change the scarabs. I think he wants you to darken the victim so we can see him better.

It looks awesome. Is the figure balanced on the table?

Yeah this. At the moment I recon he'd be better as either a much darker red or even metal, coz he's a bit too similar to the scarabs imo

Loving it! I semi-agree that the flayed corpse in the cloud of scarabs could use some darkening (or some fleshy bits?) to distinguish him from the blood red scarabs, but this is an awesome concept and an amazing execution!

Could you tell me how you got that coloring on the blade of the warscythe? Im gonna make my Necrons into a frozen theme and I think that looks perfect for ice.
