I am trying to put a list together which has squads of 3 vehicles. This would be Vyper and War Walkers from the Eldar book and I would like an ally with something like Land Speeders.

The general idea is to twin link through prescience and then buff with any extra effects (of which I don't know what to take at the moment!).

I don't know space marines that well and Eldar allies are limited.

Can anyone suggest an idea for an ally HQ that can take divination and squads of 3 vehicles of some sort.

Some decent CC ability would also be an advantage with the allies.

Its for a 1850 list so pts are not really a defining factor.

Marines could work well. Drop pod terminators should keep their guns off my vehicles and troops for a time!

BRB states who are Battle Brothers.
BRB states that only Battle Brothers can be recipients of each other's psychic buffs (Blessings)

Eldar Battle Brothers are Tau and Dark Eldar (leading to the names "TauDar" and "DEldar").

Now to address some desires of yours that can be filled by Battle Brothers (or just Eldar)

-Close Combat?- Dark Eldar Beastpack led by a Shard of Anaris Faseer or Baron. Psychic buffs on this unit for Win.

Wraithknight with Prescience? It's a jump monstrous creature, he will reach hand to hand if you want him to.

-Massive short range shooting?- Tau Fire Warrior squads in the Ethereal bubble, Guided / Prescience by a Farseer. That equals a Blizzard of Bullets (or whatever Pulse Rifles shoot).

There's so much more.

That's why I want an ally who can buff their own troops, e.g. Librarian on land speeders.

Tigurius with an Ultramarines detachment.

That might work. With scouts or a tac squad and some devs perhaps.

I would go with a min sized scout squad. Eldar scoring options are much better.

My brother runs Las/Missile Centurians with Tigurius. They have done incredibly well with the 4++ and ignore cover power.
