Seems a waste of bandwidth to keep uploading the same avatar every time I want to change it to a standard alternate (like for Christmas). Is there any way to use a pic already in my gallery as an avatar without re-loading it?

Thanks!

I'm afraid we only support 1 avatar per user rather than switching. The bandwidth requirement is absolutely negligible on our end fwiw.

OK Lego, thanks. It's not a big deal to re upload the pic, just thought I might be missing something obvious.

I know that for gallery uploads we can choose pictures on our device or upload via web link. Is there a way we can add a similar option for the avatars as well?

If that would be an option in the future then as might be able to just keep an avatar folder in our gallery and just right-click the address to paste into the avatar field.

The gallery is not a suitable place for avatars and is a completely distinct system from the forum - the code does not crossover at all beyond the user authentication procedure. There is little justification to spend coding time tweaking the avatar stuff at this point in time.
