Hi there guys, I was wondering if this lie would be any good vs. the current meta without the use of escalation. Here is my 1850 Tau list with Eldar allies.

HQ - Farseer w/Jetbike

Elites - Riptide w/Ion Accelerator, EWO, SMS

Troops - 18x Kroot, Sniper Rounds
Troops - 10x Kroot, Hound
Troops - 10x Kroot, Hound
Troops - 3x Eldar Jetbikes

Fast Attack - 7x Warp Spiders

Heavy Support - 3x Broadsides w/HYMP, 4x Missile Drones, EWO
Heavy Support - Skyray
Heavy Support - Wraithknight

Fortification : Skyshield Landing Pad

I would be very interested to know of any improvements you would make to the list.

How do you plan to use the sky shield? I've never used one. Is it just a case of you castling up in one cover and plonking the riptides, broadsides and the wraithknight on it?

He can get anti-horde from ripple-firing SMS. It's hilarious. Between that and the two large blasts, AND the broadsides and warp spiders, he won't have any problems piling up wounds.

I think it's decent. You've got tools for the toolbox. No answer to Jetseer but that'll be gone soon once Nids drop.

My best answer to Jetseer will be to roll up misfortune with my Farseer and then Spam the hell out of them with shots... Or tarpit the council with a riptide. With the amount of shots this list puts out I am not worried about anti-infantry.

Well, the Wraithknight should be the one charging but "tarpitting" isn't really going to work. They've got hit and run from the Baron. Still, it's worth charging with the WK just in case they roll that 1.

I forgot about the baron granting hit and run, they really are a tough nut to crack! But aside from the Deldar Council there are no obvious flaws or deficiencies in the list?

You've got vulnerabilities but so does (almost) every list. You have the tools to mitigate those. Jetseer is really the only list that doesn't have deficiencies and that's part of the problem.
