Hi Folks

Looking at the strategy points available in Zone Mortalis an upgrade exists for a sentry gun.

Apart from the ones available from FW what other alternatives are out there? as i'll be after an Assault cannon/Heavy bolter armed system - according to whether i'm playing 30/40k

I'd look on ebay for Heavy Weapons Teams tripods and heavy bolter bits. You also could use the rear half from a lascannon and the from half from a terminator assault cannon to do an assault cannon, or look for an assault cannon bit from the Stormraven kit or similar.

will do. i was hoping that somebody out there had already made something to fulfill this slot - unless FW make a rotor cannon armed variant soon?

If you know anyone who plays guard and uses the greatcoat models made by Wargames factory, you could talk to them.
I use them myself as veterans and got a box of thier heavy weapons teams so I would have kneeling gunners of them to put in my heavy weapons teams should i give the units some.
The havy weapons that come with them could be used. Ine is a morter, one is a big boxy looking gun that could fill many roles and the last (my favorite) looks like a twinlinked assault cannon. A buddy of mine swiped up those last from me right off.

I did these for fun. Based on a chopped up tau drone, the teleport homer from the terminator sprue and some land speeder weapons. The gun shield is from the guard HW sprue. I had most of the bits lying about, but I'm sure most could be replicated with other bits.

I also whomped this up using a chimera turret and vox for the base and an Old Crow mini turret. Heavy bolters can be trimmed down easily to fit this turret and I'm sure other heavy weapons could be as well

Those are really nice conversions; I especially like the Old Crow turret.
