I've been trying to find some models that go with my evil inquisitor and I want some bolter equipped acolytes as guardsmen with bolters just don't look right nor do they have the evil look I'm goin for.
Anyone have any conversion or alternative models they can suggest? Thanks.

I thought of that but scouts look too big compared to normal human 40k models and make my inq. look small unfortunately.

I would use scouts with the IG cadian gasmask heads from FW, maybe different legs too

I dont think they make bolters in human size.
the scout bolters are the only plastic ones i can think of, unless you wanna go some freaky slannesh inquisitor, then probably desecrate some sisters.
im still digging around for some alternatives bits

Thanks. I'm also interested in non- GW models as substitutes if anyone has any thoughts.

Try and pick up some of the original Rogue Trader bolters. The models were quite a bit smaller than the current sculpts, so they should fit a guardsman quite well. The 2nd and maybe 3rd ed bolters were also quite a bit smaller than the current ones I think, but still bulky.

Bolters should look kinda huge on human, really theyre not a small weapon... they have a 1inch(?) wide projectile.. Imagine a submachine gun large enough to shoot 12guage shotgun shells and it might be more like it.
Theyre going to be pretty chunky and heavy looking based purely on the ammo its firing (the ammo is a big reason guard use lasguns ; logistics in moving that much bolter ammo would be horrendous)
