Like many before me, I have decided to start a Napoleonic IG army, (but unlike most, a French one, Vive L'Empereur!).

Heavy weapons teams are going to feature heavily, with magnetised weapons, but gun carriages are proving a particular problem. I considered using victrix cannon sprues, but the wheels are too spindly, and many third party creators of gun carriages end up cost almost as much as the weapons teams themselves (on a bit of a budget, as I am saving to buy an actual, fully firing Napoleonic French musket)

Any ideas? The issue I'm particularly facing is the wheels

What about Empire or dwarf cannon wheels. Too big? You might find some useful wheels in the Lego ranges on LotR or medieval carts

Buy cheap model cars from Poundland for the wheels.

Perry Miniatures make various artillery weapons, including Napoleonic ones. Looks like they'll have some plastic American Civil War kits coming in February.

"You listen to me. While I will admit to a certain cynicism, the fact is that I am a naysayer and hatchetman in the fight against violence. I reject absolutely revenge, aggression, and retaliation. The foundation of such a method... is love. I love you Sheriff Truman." - Twin Peaks
