Subject: The ultimate cheese?

Hi all
So, I've read on other threads about "The Most Durable Unit in the Game"
As I learnt from a thread a while ago, you cannot take Farsight enclave with a Tau ally that has Aun'va. But let's say that's up for debate:
O'Vesa with Aun'va to make a near invincible unit? (by shooting anyways...)
What does dakka think? Is it allowed? Would it be too much cheese?
Cheers!

The challenge: in a 1500pt game I will play 900pt + D6x100 pts, if I roll a 6 I reroll and -100 to that second number (down to 1000pt minimum)

I'm not sure what the point of speculating about an illegal unit is. We might as well speculate about how the most durable unit ever would be my Shadowsword with a re-rollable 2++.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices. |

I'm sorry, but what part of "I wanted to come up with a cheesy overpowered unit, this one isn't even legal but look how overpowered it is" will lead to constructive discussion? It isn't legal so virtually everyone is going to say "no, you can't use it", and even if the OP somehow convinces someone to let them use it the most likely result is the OP's Riptide model getting thrown across the room.

I though that you couldn't Take Aun'va AND Farsight IN THE SAME detachement if you played the Farsight Enclave detachement.
But if they are in different allied detachement, i do think it works.

And this preggrine (or however you spell it) is why you let people discuss things. And who cares, its a forum. Unlike you i live elsewhere.

The rule says "same army", not "same detachment". If you take a Farsight detachment you are banned from taking Aun'va anywhere in your army.

I see...,indeed if it is put that way, there isn't much you can do about it.
While funny enough you can take Ethereals iirc.

There's a section saying that when the Enclave first set on their expedition they had Ethereal accompanying them.
