Got a question for those more savvy than I about forum etiquette than I. One of my goals for the new year is to try and take picture documentation of all my armies (6 in 40k, 3 fantasy). I've already got my wordbearers done and uploaded to my gallery, but before posting them I wanted to know peoples opinions of how I should share them. I don't want to clog up the forums with my stuff, but I would also like to get a chance for folks to see it. Should I do one thread for each army, one thread for all the armies, or would a painting and modeling blog be more appropriate? What would you guys suggest?

I would think if your doing showcases you could start a "Col. Kurtz showcase" thread in P&M show case if they are finished armies and be fine. I wouldn't start multiple threads wherever you decide to post them though, especially since you already know your going to post multiple armies.

One thread for all armies might probably work best. P&M blog might work if you're trying to finish the army before posting it.

Probably 1 thread for 40K and 1 thread for fantasy.

Not a very strong consensus, thus far. Honestly, though, there is no real set pattern for this sort of thing, beyond the posted (sub)forum rules.

Personally, I'd base the decision on what you want to get out of posting the pics, as well as how you plan to go about it. If you're simply looking to share your finished armies with a few shots of each, a single Showcase thread would do. If you'll be posting tons of images, especially detailed shots on which you'd want specific feedback, a Showcase thread for each will likely keep things more focused, as well as cutting down on the number of images to be loaded. If you think you'll be updating things piecemeal over a long span of time, a P&M Blog might be more appropriate.

Work in progress goes into blogs ImHo.
Completed armies should fit into P&M showcase , either all of them at once ( a 40k thread and a whfb thread maybe ) or one per month...
I also like the idea to store the Army in Articles/Armies, where you could keep the details and pics of everything.
Thinking about it, maybe create an article per army, start a showcase thread with an overview pic of each army and a link to the articles?

Wouldn't post each unit piecemeal in P&M threads.
