Right, I am all signed up for throne of skulls in March, I can't decide which army to take. I have most 40k armies (no sisters, no black templars) so the question is what to take? I have just bought an Eldar Iyanden army which could be built and painted up in time, I am quite tempted with this but I don't have much experience with Eldar. I also have a marine army with the requisite centurions now (only 3) but I could get more. Escalation is apparently allowed which has tempted me with Guard and Necrons. I fancy a baneblade or a big floaty teseract vault or something. Not played escalation yet so not sure if you are just giving your opponent extra vps or not. What lists are currently kicking ass at the 1500pt level? Oh and of course we will have a new Nid codex out in a matter of days which could also be fun! Let me know what you think.

Think Necrons with a Tranny C'Tanny can be kinda vicious at this level.

I'd probably start with C'Tan and three scythes with warriors. Then sprinkle with a bit of fun.

You could even take a couple of Triarch stalkers just to look bad ass on the table if you fancied. I figure if you take the C'Tan and have three scoring units, you can do whatever else you fancy...

The transcendent C'tan can easily be hidden behind buildings and ruins.
But i guess, at a tournament, there won't be a lot of scenery standing on the table.

Without anywhere to hide, the C'tan doesn't survive long.

The tournament is at Warhammer World so Scenery should be epic! I'll post up a few ideas of lists later this evening. thanks for the responses so far!
