These are very well painted, I just feel that a little more weathering would make them more Orky... The Deff Dread has the right amount I feel, I would just like to see that on all of your Orks to really finish the cracking paintjob with a metaphorical cherry on top. This is, of course, personal preference, but other than that minor point, these are really well done!

Thanks very much. I totally get what you're saying. It's just easier to lavish extra attention on a few walkers and vehicles than on 90+ individual boys
It was a conscious and intentional decision. When the army is on the table it looks nice. I should probably get a picture of a 30 model mob on here. When do you ever see one boy standing around by himself, right?

These are absolutely gorgeous! While it feels a bit simplistic and overstated under the macro lens, the highlighting and shading really pops at a distance (which is what really matters - as unlikely as we are to see a lone boy, we're even more unlikely to see one at three inches, instead of three feet). The dominant coverage of the midtones leaves the surfaces looking incredibly smooth, without reading as flat.
The smooth finish, stark lighting, vivid colors, and muted metals (heavy washing leaves them looking almost non-metallic) gives an almost cell-shaded effect, like Orks ported into Borderlands (the aesthetic of which I love). Were I starting my Orks from scratch, I'd be tempted to try my hand at copying the style.

Much appreciated. For me painting an army, especially one with a strong horde focus, requires a scheme that balances looking good with being able to turn out models at a reasonable rate. I think I've accomplished that pretty well. Thanks again.

Very good painting. But have to say a little to clean for orks. Add some weathering to them. Overall great paint job.

These are beautiful! So many ork armies get all dingy and dark (doesn't help that so many people play goffs!), but these Boyz have a brightness that really pops.
Also, your lenses are fantastic. I see where the bad moonz spent all their teef!
Great job.

Thanks guys, I appreciate that. My painting style is pretty ultraclean, thats how I like to paint. I like my models to pop from a distance (If you play orks in 6th you'll get the double meaning there ).
Here are some Nobs I just finished for the Independent Characters Hobby Challenge.
