FIRESTORM ARMADA
Engagement at the Kershian belt.
With the increase tension along the storm zone for both alliances, resources have been poured into the war effort to continue the pressure of this growing conflict. Countless fleets have been lost to the depths of space and the thought of any foot hold being lost could be devastating to the war effort. In particular, along the Aquan prime's galactic borders the pressure has been high, with Directorate attacks becoming far more frequent and the game being played by the cooperate fleets against the two alliances simmered once calm negotiations into heated encounters.
It had began with a planetary raid on an Aquan Prime world, colonies slaughtered and stolen from on numerous occasions and to the people of the Aquan prime, it had been enough. They knew they had to now engage the Zenian League and it's allies; but such things were going to have to be planned. In a sector within the storm zone research and a recently built neutral station had uncovered some interesting information. Within the sector laid two planetoids which could benefit the Aquan Prime's war front, now that they were far more engaged in the matters of the Kurak Alliance.
One of the planetoids was broken apart, pieces of it's form orbiting it's mass with a fiery core still burning against the cold of space. It had been found that this planetoid was abundantly filled of natural resources, rich and rare metals perfect for component building and to make more higher class of the line ships; this needed to be seized at all costs. Across the small sector of space was the other planetoid, though basking in the coldness of space life of a strange sort had been found. Researchers have taken samples and have found great medical use from the plants and strange spore like orpheus found along the planet's surface. This planet was also a complete need for the effort, to have such medicines and chemicals to their use would be just another inch forward in winning in the storm zone. It was soon made within the Aquan Prime's fleets that this sector must be achieved and held while respecting the neutral station. Preparations were quickly being made.
Across the Storm zone the Zenian League, the Dindrenzi in particular had already noticed this sector and made quick preparations to take the sector for themselves. With the heated tension growing between the two powers and the game of shadows the Directorate was playing between the Dindrenzi and the Aquan prime was even unknown to the Dindrenzi even though they were allies. The Dindrenzi fleets knew that they needed to occupy this resource rich system for themselves and they would take no precaution unchecked to make sure of it. A fleet was quickly mobilized for the invitation of an attack made by the Kurak Alliance, made up of light carriers, cruisers, frigates, and a ship of the line, a Nausica MKII Battleship. If they were to engage the Aquan Prime, they would make sure they had the advantage.
With the preparations set the fleet entered warp, now headed to what they called, “The Kershian Belt”.
The Aquan Prime intelligence command had learned of the warp signatures headed to the Kerhsian belt, but they were not at all expecting a battleship from their opponents, to see the Zenian league showing such an interest in the same sector as the Aquan prime was daunting to say the very least, knowing full well that the Aquan Prime had already sent a fleet to the sector to claim it, but perhaps nothing could prepare them for the threat of a battleship.
As both the fleets warped into the sector battle-stations were immediately called, weapons were charged, shields readied and the launch bays of each of the fleets carriers called for all wings to ready for immediate launch. The battle for the Kershian belt was about to begin.

The Scenario
The engagement is being played on a 8x4 table with three objectives to better help show the largeness of the sector and the ability to have different skirmishes happening at the same time. Three objectives are on the table. In opposite corners of the table diagonally are the two planetoids, one rich in resources, the other the bio planetoid. If by the end of the game a ship of either of the opposing factions is within 3” of an objective they control it and gain 200+ victory points, If the opposing fleets are both within the 3” the victory points will be divided evenly. In the center of the sector is the Researchers station, this yields the player a 100 victory point increase and also confers the ability to repair the any ship near it.

The Set up.
TURN ONE
Ships from far ranges trade shots at each other and maneuver.
The
CC Ryoko releases it's wings of interceptors and fires a devastating volley of Torpedoes at the Stalwart Dawn. The Stalwart Dawn however miraculously stops the torpedo volley.
As the cruiser group of the Aquan prime moves forward they release a destructive volley of torpedoes at the Dindrenzi Frigate the Tannenburg. As the frigate group fired it's guns of point defense shooting down none of the torpedoes as they moved through the asteroids, slamming into the Tannenburg with destructive power as it's systems shut down and the ship became a burning drift. The first kill has been made.
END OF TURN ONE
TURN TWO
As the Nausicaa Battleship the "Troy" moves into position in a slight turn the Aquan prime frigate the "Kais" is in it's sights. With a massive crash of energy the battleship fired it's railgun, blowing through the asteroids that stood between the two ships and then ramming into the frigate with devastating power as the ship ripped apart into scrapenel. The Kais has been destroyed.
The Battleships torpedo bays opened, targeting the Frigate the "R'ymr as torpedoes slammed into it, causing major damage."
Near the bio planetoid the Destroyers "Kane" and "Mamrou" halted their ended diverting power to their cloaking devices as they targeted the incoming dindrenzi frigates. The "Kane" opened fire on the Dindrenzi frigate the "Iwo Jima" with crashing success, pushing through it's flimsy plating and ripping the ship apart. The Iwo Jima is destroyed.The "Mamoru" fired at another frigate, the "New Iwo Jima", however the piolet of the frigate evaded the shots with ease.
The frigate group led by the "Richi" moves into position and fires their broadsides at the "Stalwart dawn" blowing a large hole into the cruiser as decompression takes effects as some of the "Stalwart Dawns" crew and Marines and vacuumed into space. The crew of the "Stalwart Dawn" hurry to try to fix the problem.
The "Atlas" moves and fires harassing shots at the group of frigates which just damaged the Stalwart Dawn and released it's wing of bombers at them.
The Kira and the Hirasuke both open fire together at the Stalwart Dawn, attempting to finish it off. The Battle Cruiser took several hits as much of it's crew and marines die, the ship is nearly finished, but still fighting.
The Dindrenzie frigate group lead by the Vostok flies through the asteroids and claims the Resource plantoid and fires harassing shots at the Richi's frigate group.

The Dindrenzi frigate group lead by the Gorgon moves into position, firing at the frigate the R'ymr, finishing the crippled frigate off for good. The R'myr is destroyed.
The Ryoko carrier moved forward releasing it's wing of bombers in the direction of the crusier group led by the Stalwart Dawn. At the same time the fuel in the Interceptors was near depletion rather suddenly and had to return to rearm. (Player played Bingo fuel/Ammo card.).
The Aquan prime cruiser group led by Aun'va moved into position and fires at the battleship "Troy", doing minimal damage while it's broadsides fire at the frigate Gorgon, blowing it out of the sky. While firing their torpedo tubes at the frigate Alliance doing serious damage.
The Didrenzi Carrier the "Magellen" released it's wings of bombers towards the Stingray group which holds the bio objective.
TURN THREE
The Didrenzi carrier, "Atlas" turns to face the Aquan prime frigate group led by the the Richi as it opens fire with it's forward guns and torpedoes with help from it's wings of bombers. The Richi takes a pounding as the bombers move through, unleashing a volley of torpedoes into the Richi then finishing the frigate off from the fire from the Carrier. The Richi has been destroyed.
The Carrier the Ryoko released it's Interceptors again at the bombers that destroyed the Richi, in a swift gut through the piolets destroy all the bombers while the Ryoko's own bombers fly towards the "Stalwart Dawn". With the combined fire of their torpedo volley with the Ryoko, the Stalwart defender is destroyed, becoming a burning, destroyed hulk of former glory.
The dindrenzi Battleship the Troy turns to face the Aquan prime cruiser group, opening fire with everything it had, Torpedoes and rail gun alike as it tore into the Aun'va heavy cruiser and Isamu, doing very hard damage.
The Kira the Hyosuke open fire on the Dindrenzi cruiser Pillar of Autumn, blasting it dangerously as a raging fire erupts onto the ship, killing crew and marines.
The cruiser group led by the Aun'va moves forward, cutting it's engines, but not in time to hit the mines that the "Troy" had laid prior. Shooting mines out themselves the laid a field in front of the Troy, firing at it with everything and causing minimal damage again.
The Dindrenzi frigate group led by the Vostok fires a volley into the Aquan Prime frigate the Tadahiro, causing major damage.
The Aquan Prime Destroyers Kane and Mamoru open fire on the New Iwo Jima, doing massive damage to it.

The Dindrenzi flight of Frigates headed to the Bio Planetoid zoom forth, firing their guns wildly at the Destroyer the Kane. Their cannons plow into the ship, causing a raging fire! Crew and Assualters are lost!
END OF TURN 3
TURN FOUR
The Didrenzi Battleship the Troy moves forward, cutting it's engines as it and it's gunboats slide into the Aquan Prime deployed mines. The explosion caused minimal damage to the Battleship and then completely destroyed one of the gunboats. The Troy opened fire with with it's railguns, skimming the Aun'va with no damage, however, the Isamu was hit. The Cannon ripped through the cruiser, as a ripple of explosions leave the Isamu nothing but a burning wreck.
After the Isamu was ripped apart by the large rail-gun of the battleship Troy, the cruisers fired back with a full volley, blowing small holes in the massive ship.
The Dindrenzi Cruiser group led by the Pillar of Autumn fires it's rail guns at the Destroyer group led by the Hyosuke, ripping into the destroyer nearly destroying it as a raging fire erupts on the ship, destroying most of the crew and marines.
The Ryoko continued it's way to the resource objective as it's bomber attempted to return to it's bay, being shot down by the Dindrenzi cruiser group. It opened fire with everything, it's forward weapons firing at the Frigate group in front of it at the objective, causing serious damage to the Lancelot Frigate as it's torpedo and starboard weapons ripped into the Hannibal, causing harsh damage. It's interceptor group moved in front of the Dindrenzi carrier, attempting to block torpedo shots.
The Dindrenzi frigates holding the resource objective, led by the Vostok opens fire on the Tadahiro, causing enough destructive damage to destroy it.
The Kira and the Hyosuke fire back at the Dindrenzi cruiser group, ripping into the Hannibal as they blow holes savagely through it until it turns into a burning hulk, a drifting eruption through space.
The Aquan prime Frigates holding the objective and the Dindrenzi frigate exchange shots, damaging each other lightly until the Aquan prime frigate finally blew a large hole into the Alliance, blowing it apart.
The Dindrenzi carrier the Atlas releases it's fighters at the Frigate Naota as it opens fire, causing heavy damage, but the Naota is still in the fight.
The Dindrenzi Carrier the Magellen releases it's fighter wings towards the Stingray Destroyers holding the bio planettoid objective as they fire a volley of torpedoes, doing no damage.
TURN FIVE
The Dindrenzi battleship the Troy moves and turns, setting off more mines but no damage being dealt to any of the battleships systems or it's gunboats. It fires at the two frigates holding the research station. With a gust of torpedoes and rail-gun fire, the R'alai and the
Sa'cea Aquan prime frigates both erupt in fire, being destroyed in a matter of a second.
The Ryoko moves forward again, opening fire at the Pillar of Autumn with Torpedoes and broadsides, tearing the ship apart in one sudden fire as the cruiser finds itself being destroyed, slight eruptions turning it into debris. At the same moment, it's interceptors dog-fighter with the Dindrenzi fighters, taking no losses as the Dindrenzi fighters lose two fighter wings, the last wing being pulled back.
The dindrenzi frigate group led by the Vostok turns their guns towards the Aquan prime's Frigate, the Naoto, with combined fire they rip it apart, destroying the frigate in one fowl swoop.
The Dindrenzi Atlas carrier fires everything it's got at the Frigate "Seito" causing major damage as it tears in it, nearly destroying it with one single volley.
The Dindrenzi frigate group led by the Gettysburg open with a barrage of fire on the destroyer the Kane, destroying it in a volley of destructive fire, the ship drifting off and then erupting in a fiery explosion.
The Cruiser group led by the Aquan prime fire another volley against the battleship, Troy, again doing minimal damage.
TURN SIX
The Dindrenzi start the final turn with moving forward, trying to claim the final objective as the frigate group headed towards the Bio Planet toid opens fire at the Mamoru, causing slight damage.
The Aquan prime Cruisers move to hold the center objective, firing heavily at the battleship bust till causing minimal damage, their torpedoes ripping into a nearby gunship, forcing it to explode.
The battleship the Troy opens fire at the cruiser group, ripping into the Tsunami battle cruiser causing it's engines to flutter dear, not stopped near the objective.
The Dindrenzi frigates holding the resource objective finish off the Aquan prime frigate squadron as their cannons rip into the Seito, finishing off the frigate as it drifts into space, a fiery carcass.
The Ryoko moves forward, bombers moving forward to release a harassing torpedo strike, destroying the frigate Lancelot while combined fire of the guns of the Ryoko rip into the Vostok, ripping it apart as it is also destroyed.
The Atlas Carrier maneuvers quickly to reclaim the objective of the natural resources as it crashes through asteroids, sustaining heavy damage, but still alive.
GAME END
The game ended up a Draw with both the fleets destroying and capturing objectives each totally about 600 points each, it was much destruction and for a first Bat rep I think it went rather well!
