The HQ choice is something I have trouble with, as I run a veteran chimera List so I dont really find a spot for a CCS

My Leman Russ is usually covered by the chimeras and in the games has played has lasted till about turn 3-4 as I dont come across many flyers.
As I said, dont take this list as something I think is top notch, just something I like to play around with.

I also wanted to purchase into a few Sentinels. Was wondering if they are at all worth there points.
I also run the Lord Commisar in a Chimera with a Vet squad

I think the carapace armour is a waste on the vets. That's 90 points you can spend on something else. Also maybe the sponsons on the LR. Not sure what they cost but you can add something else with these points.

I often not use my Sentinels. They are cool but costly. I have Armoured ones. Think scout Sentinels are a better choice if you go for it.

You can have the CCS in a chimera with 4 meltas (other special weapons). Working the same as vets. But cheaper. Maybe adding heavy weapons in the vet squads?

Yeh its a shame the Sentinels cost so many damn points. I used to run with Lascannons with the Vets but 8/10 times id find Id be mostly snap firing.

The CCS with meltas seems like a good idea tbh, Ill have to buy another chimera though, which is the only down side.

And the sponsons are because I found 30 points spare and they do alot of damage with the Executioner

I always like CCS but that my opinion. And the sponsons on the Executioner are nice but that's just more gets hot rolls you have to make. So it will deal a lot of damage but will most likely blow itself up mid-game. Solid list besides that.
