So the new dex isn't even properly out yet and I wanted to share something that looks too easy.
Advanced targeting systems cost 3 points allowing precision shooting.
Get yourself fusion suits and instagib yourself the synaps creatures.
Boom... The rest mostly become useless and its over.

Sorry tyranid players.
I really liked nids as well.

I have not read the tau or tyranid codex but i am fairly certain that is not easily done.

Can you tell me what is allowing you to instant gib them? Im a nid player and i havent played much recently because i realized how easy it was to just pinpoint my MC and kill them.

I was waiting for a physic table in this codex that would give some moderate buffs to help with this problem and well we all know it didnt come

You can still make look out sir rolls though...

Anyone with a decent set of tactics would also have a venonthrope around to grant shroud...

You might be able to kill them with volume of fire, but many of the synapse creatures won't be doubled out via the fusion due to their high toughness...

Then...there's Tyrant guard...

If a suit is within 18" of a synapse creature , they're either in trouble or are so far ahead that tactics no longer matter.

A lot of the synapse either comes in groups or is toughness 6 with a handful of wounds. 6 fusion blasters at bs4 won't take down either one on average.

Precision shots won't do anything special to the situation.

Don't get me wrong. From what I've seen of the bugs book, Tau WILL walk all over them, but it has little to do with anything you posted.
