I've just started attending gaming conventions. I'm wondering, what Cons do you like to attend? I'm planning to attend GenCon this year, but I'm interested to hear everyone's opinions on some other good Cons to attend.

I choose to go hunting this year instead of going to Fall In (with nothing to show for it!), but I'm not going to be missing Cold Wars. And I haven't been able to make it to Historicon since it moved to Virginia.

Gen Con is the only one I've ever attended and is, of course, one of the biggest.

TempleCon is fantastic (and coming up!) but may be a bit out of your reach, as it is in Rhode Island.

Adepticon is a great time

Gencon yearly. This year is my first adepticon. When I lived in Houston, I went to comicpalooza each year.

I used to go to all the smaller and bigger conventions in Ireland (Gaelcon, Leprecon, Warpcon and a slew of others with lower attendance like Itzacon, Dominicon, Confess and it's later evolution Conspiracy).

Great craic, though I get the impression a different sort of affair when compared to conventions in other places.
