Well I have been wrestling with this figure quite some time now and I can call it done (still needs a few details to touch up but generally speaking he is done ).

It was a paintjob for a friend of mine so I could take as long as I liked since this is done for free

c&c are welcome since I am rarely satisfied with my work and I always look for ways to improve. Please excuse the crappy pics.

That Wraithknight is absolutely beautiful - the pictures are great, too! Your friend is very lucky, I'm sure that they will be as pleased - if not more - than I am! Just wanted to add that the pattern on the face plate is really nice - keep up the good work

exceptionally well done!! I love the hex-pattern detail on the headplate. I am assuming you airbrush through some kind of mesh material - what material do you use for this? but also, how do you get the material to lay down so closely on a curved surface???

This is a very good paint job. I must ask - how did you do the grid on the visor?

Thank you all for your kind words.

The mesh pattern is really easy to do using an airbrush. Acquire some sort of mesh that needs to be flexible enough so you can blue tac it behind the head. I used mesh like the one seen in the pic.

You have to prime the head in white before setting the net on and then you go over with gradients of the colors of your choice using the lighter tones as you move closer to the center of the head. By no means don't remove the net until you are completely done since it is impossible to

re-attach the net on the exact same position. That means that if you forget a tone and remove the net you most probably need to strip the helm and start over again. After you are done you need to paint in white all the areas that where hit by the blue tones and you are done. I am attaching a

video that show the procedure on wraithguard.

Awesome work, your friend will love it, I'm sure.
And if they don't, I'm sure I can find a home for it

Thanks guys . Next on the painting line are two crimson hunters following the biel tan scheme . I will also try to get some better pics of the wraithknight.

I am gonna use a couple of stencils that I got from airsick stencils and try some cool rock effects .
