I have a friend starting up white scars and this is the list he has made so far. Not the most competitive, but oh wells.

hq
Khan on bike

chapter master, bike, ss, arty armor, power weapon

troop
10 tactical marines, melta gun, combi melta on sarge, plasma cannon.
dro pod

10 tactical marines, plasma cannon
razorback, tl lascannon.

5 scouts, camo cloaks.

Fast attack
3 bikes, x2 melta guns, combi melta. attack bike with multi melta
3 bikes, x2 melta, combi melta.
3 scout bikes, 3 grenade launchers.

fortifications:
firestorm rebout with gattling guns (x2) and the +1 bs.

Plan:
bikes with attack bike, khan. and chapter master all join together.

Tac squads combat squad,
1st one with meltas into drop pod, other 5 stay back field
2nd, 5 in razor back, other backfeild.

so, what are the thoughts.
He has a strike force, 6 bikes, 6 scout bikes, captain on a bike, khan, and the fortification kit with the super fortification, x2 fire strom rebout, and x2 weapon platforms.

I am not a fan of bikes with tacticals expecially using white scars tactics, they just favor bikes too much. I would honestly run a whole bike army or choose a different chapter that will more suit your list.

The bikes you have are not enough to be a true threat and neither are your tac squads. Their just simply isnt enough of either to be scary. Each unit is small enough to simply ignore or remove relatively easy with a turn of shooting.

Your fortifications are good and put out a lot of firepower but you better hope to table your opponet because you wont score with the fortifications.

You are kind of all over the board with this list. Its too much mixed and matched and not much cohesion

Ok, so much wrong.....

The razorback will last 1-2 turns max, and will then die as he is the only AV on the board.

Why are his bike squads not troops? That's one of the scars bonuses'? Also bike squads have to be a minimum of 5.

And where oh where are the grav bikes? They're so powerful you can't leave them out! Khan allows you to take a command squad on bikes, give them 5 grav guns and watch termies, riptides, wraithknights all cry their eyes out!

The chapter master is a tank, but not without a thunder hammer or power fist! Give him a hammer and he is now a serious threat!

I think it needs a lot of work...sorry dude.

good advise everybody, back to the drawing board!

I like the chaptermaster with thunder hammer for concussive and str 8, and shield eternal so my expensive leader dosent eat ID from one failed stormshield save to a lucky smash from a monstrous creature.

So expensive though and the only reason he doesn't have a hammer or fist is because the model has a sword / spear of some sort and he doesnt want to proxy like that.

It is expensive. Probably too expensive for 1500, but consider the burning blade if he doesn't want to proxy. Strength 7 and AP2 goodness at initiative 5!

Disagree, they just have to be used properly, just as bikes have to be. HIT AND RUN is the white scar strength just as much as the bonus to bikes.

Number 1 if you are using Khan all of your Tacs should be in rhinos for scout moves. Otherwise you might as well not use him. The other thing you need is a unit that can infiltrate to block easy counter infiltrates that would stop your scout moves.. your Scout bikers do this, but I would probably run just one larger squad of them.

Lol thats the same thing i was recomending to yuor question about chapter master on bike. It is a quite nice upgrade.

Haha, I know! I don't really like the blade idea...but if your friend already has a sword modelled....
