Hey guys, I'm working on a high elf sea guard force, and to hit the theme home i'm looking at doing some beach themed bases for something different.

I have seen tiny bits of jungle foliage, urban debris and that kinda thing, but i have never come across anything more maritime. Does anyone have ideas of where one could find such things as tiny shells, star fish, crabs, seaweed etc? ot alternatively any suppliers of resin bases with such things sculpted on? Its maybe a long shot, but if ya never ask.

Thanks for any help, failing that, i may be sculpting tiny tiny shellfish with green stuff.

Have you tried looking down the route of candle making supplies ? they sometimes sell tiny shells / starfish etc for inclusion in clear and gel based candles .

Yeah haven't seen anything in the way of beach bases or little ornamental sea creatures. Plenty of desert bases though.

I think your best bet is going to be greenstuff. A little starfish shouldn't be too hard though. Although Bognut's suggestion has a lot of merit to it.

I would have thought of that, I'll check that out.

A friend has given me into idea to check out the aquarium scenery at the local pet shop, it could have milage but of all else fails i could use a tiny castle as a unit filler

Found these 3mm clam shell charms, theres probably some to be found in jewelery or nail art kind of stuff judging from those.

Someone posted a great find the other day of some little tool charm pieces that would make great conversion pieces for 40k particularly ork mek boys.

Potentially lots of other options too

Thanks guys, some of those are really great especially the tiny crabs from freebooter. Unfortunatley being in the UK most of those come to a fortune with shipping (for the amount i would need at least) but i may invest once the army is underway. Until then i will continue searching!

I think we may have a winner, those are exactly the kinda thing i was looking for!

Edit: Before i get too excited, have you had any experience with these items or any other from Last stand Convertibles (these isn't any exact size given and it is hard to tell from the pictures)?

Thanks!
