I'm participating in a campaign in a few weeks using 1250pts lists what do you think? Is this moderately competitive? Any suggestions? I was thinking of swapping the trueborn in the venom for some vanilla scourges or dropping some upgrades to get phantasm grenade launcher for the wyches. Any Ideas on how to run it? I'm not that great at deployment phase and I'm wondering if you have any tips on surviving until the planes come in for support.

Also the campaign I will be participating in requires a kill team (200pts I believe) So any advice regarding the list or the kill team are welcome.

200pt Kill Team

-10 warriors
blaster, splinter cannon, plasma grenades, sybarite, venom blade, raider w/dark lance

10 infantry w/transport in a kill team game w/ 2 dark light weapons, a splinter cannon and a leader who wounds on a 2+. Also they operate as their own units in kill team (if I am correct) so plasma grenades give them each a str4 apt pinning blast weapon w/ 8' range.

Main list needs more anti-tank imo. Not sure how you want to go about that, but in my opinion you need to maybe drop the splintercannon for blasters on that second trueborn squad, and I probably wouldn't take blasters on the Warrior squad they are barely ever worth it, it doesn't make them count as AT coverage either.

Kill team looks good, really good.

P.S.A. I won't read your posts if you break it into a million separate quotes and make an eyesore of it.

Second Shuppet. Move the blasters to the trueborn, maybe put a cannon in each of the kabbie squads(but rifles are fine since you have splinter racks)

Your trix probably wants a CC weapon. A humble venom blade can seriously mess up an enemy in a challenge and costs next to nothing. Succbus is OK, but I think a venom blade would be better to force wounds, or shardnet+impaler for defense.

Ok, I've switched the blasters to the true born and dropped the splinter cannons, I also switched out the succubus' weapon to a venom blade and gave the hekatrix a venom blade. I still have 10pts to spare after all this. What should I do with it? I was thinking either take hydra gauntlets in the wyche squad and give succubus haywires or take a splinter cannon in a cabbie squad, could also take night shields on the venom. What's your 2 cents?

I think night shields on the venom are your best bet, considering you have them everywhere else. Haywires are OK on the succbus(then some random 5 point upgrade like TGL's) but hydra gauntlets are meh. A shardnet+impaler could work, but it is not great either. The cannon is OK for the kabbie squad, but night shields are probably better.

Ok, I think I'll run with night shields then. That way all my force is harder to get in range of.

Also quick question would that mean that rapid fire range would be reduced to 9" or just max range reduced to 18' on a bolter.
