Hi folks,
This is the model I painted for a small competition held just before Christmas at my club. It was the first time we ran a competition and it was only small. But the standard was pretty high and I was delighted to have won.
Below it is the first image that I uploaded to Dakka in July 2012. That mini was the first I had painted after taking a 14yr break from anything hobby. It was great to be able to see the improvement in my painting over the last wee while. Looking forward to this Christmas' contest where I'll be looking for further improvement. Blue power armour is very much my "comfort zone", so I'll make sure I step away from it next time.
Should also say that it's been a great (if expensive) 18 months for me. Should never have stopped all those years ago.
Thanks for reading. C&C very much welcome,
Alan

great progression, i love how you have managed to bring the classic ultramrine blue/ yellow colour scheme up to date by slighlt muting the colours. The posing on the mini itself is perfect, he realy looks a hard bastard!
