Hello, and thank you all for taking a look! Ive come to Dakka Dakka for some intense IG support, and being a greenhorn hopefully you all can offer some enlightenment on a new 2000 point list I've created. I will list any unused models at the bottom of the list in a clearly labeled section, so please reserve your suggestions to models & troop formations that I already own, rather than suggesting to buy extra units please.

So please go ahead and critique it, I'd be dissapointed if it wasnt covered in 'red-ink' haha, I look forward to your comments!

Ok first off, did you want to play with the baneblade because of now with escalation you can!

Otherwise things I would change are:
1)Power axes on Ig Sargents (I3 isn't worse then I1 by much)
2) take maxed flamers for the squads
3) trade Hf sponsons and front facing guns for HBs
4) Agies need a lascannon or quad gun
5) the colossus is awesome so try to take it
6) MotO is great for 30pts and can cause coherency fear

other then that have fun and remember IG is coming to town!

Thanks for the advice Arbiter, so in response to your suggestions here's what I think:

1- power axes -awesome, never thought of it
2- maxed flamers, to my knowledge regular guard squads can only have 1 flamer, the Veterans can have 3 per squad, which I've half done, should I scrap the Meltas?
3- Heavy Bolters -my obvious mistake
4- Didn't have enough points to take either of those, however I have a much better reason for taking the line
5- I left out the Colossus because it only has a 1/3 chance of landing where you want it to and I havn't had lady luck on my side, is this a mistake in taking it out?
6- I was considering a MoO, but of the people I play against regularly there isn't really another horde based player

Melta is weaker now that glancing tanks to death is the way of the world. Flamers and Plasma are all I use on my vets. I like to give my PCS full flamers as well for a cheap unit that can deter enemies from coming close while not being over threatening to the point where it will be shot to ribbons.

Melta's are also great for those high T enemies arnt they? Plus I try to avoid get's hot guns.

Well first welcome to Dakka Dakka, where all your hopes and dreams come true! Or something like that... Your list looks solid and if you purchase the new Escalation book you can field the SUPER AWESOME Baneblade.

Btw, if you ally with an inquisitor from the codex inquisition he can take up to 3 servo skulls for 3pts each and they reduce scatter by 1 d6 so templates only scatter 1 d6 within 6"(?) of the servo skull.

No, if you check out the inquisitor section in the new PDF you only need an inquisitor nothing else its goofy but it works.

Also the inquisitor with mastery lvl 1 and servo skulls will cost you about 75pts ish and he can take Div for prescience.
