Anyone know what the best magnets are to use with Warhammer 40K models.
I want to use them with a Chaos Dreadnaught so i can Interchange the Weapon loadouts for different games.

I would like to know the best place to buy them Online?
and generally how to mount them on a Model?

Cheers

Search ebay for cheap and good magnets from China, 3mm round and 1mm deep are a good standard, you can also go up to 5mm for bigger stuff and thicker for heavier stuff.

I've always used these guys;

But look for a supplier close to home for good/free shipping rates

I used 4mm dia x 2mm on my dreads (rare earth type).
I used a 4mm wood drill bit turned with my fingers - more control than a power drill which could end up melting the resin.

Check out my gallery here
Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

You can also get 0.5mm thick magnets for surface mounting to do away with all the fiddly drilling.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!
