HA! I've encountered all of those in a board game setting. "The Alpha Gamer" and "The one who reveals their true nature" are really the only ones I can relate to my war gaming experiences. Although, I have played one "puppy". Never again

The one who reveals their true nature - This is my Cataan stratagy every time. Never trade, never tell. Then win.

Playing almost exclusively at our FLGS with a 100% male clientele the couples and the snackmaster are unknown to me.
I've seen a few puppies in my time but as the rest of the group is made up of mostly alpha gamers they never tend to hang around very long.
This does mean that in general all of our games are played at a very high level and games are usually won the person that doesn't make a single mistake.

Funny but entirely inaccurate.

The old meta is dead and the new meta struggles to be born. Now is the time of munchkins.

Pretty funny!

My group was mostly Beta games. We played to win, but liked to take our time and chit chat. The game is secondary to yacking. Also wine and/or other spirits.

I used to play in a group that contained a couple. It was bloody boring because they always cooperated with each other which in trading type of games ensured they won.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Shred City.

Very funny.

One of my exes was definitely the snackmaster. She loved to play games, but it was really just to host and show off her cooking - which admittedly was fantastic and everyone loved it, even if it meant we all played a little for her.

Good times. . . :(

There's no. 7, which is the troll player. Plays for the sake of playing the people, not the game -_-

I don't see too many couples, but I know a few troll players.

No wargames these days, more DM/Painting.

I paint things occasionally. Some things you may even like!

I've had most of these at my board game nights. Often the cook is more of a cocktail amateur mixologist who keeps going off to mix up interesting drinks for everyone to try.
