I've been asked to work out a colour scheme for Mymeara Craftworld. How does this look? Bearing in mind this is a WiP and has been gloss varnished ready for pin wash. Stones are just base coated. Let me know what you think be brutal I can take it

I think it looks ok. From memory the Mymeara scheme was much bluer though, so maybe if you extended the blue gradient to cover more of the model, rather than having it mostly green?

In terms of detailed comments, it also it looks quite speckly along the gradients, so the spray may not quite be smooth enough for what you're trying to do. A bit more practice would hopefully deal with that issue.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

The blue is gorgeous, but I think the green is too green. You're looking for more of a blue/green transition or a jade/emerald colour. Don't get me wrong, it looks good, but it doesn' t necessarily say Mymeara for me.

I am going to add my voice in agreement with the previous posters. Looks good, but doesn't strike me as Mymeara.

Also a tip for spirit stones: Leave a lot of it black. To really sell a glossy stone/glass type of effect, high contrast is needed. Edge in your colors while leaving a black circle in one of the corners, then put just a tiny dot of white in it, or possibly a thin streak on larger ones.

I'm planning on painting some Dire Avengers tonight and can do a step-by-step if you'd want to see what I'm talking about. It's actually fairly simple to do and the effect is neat, although I totally get not everyone has the same tastes.

Thanks for the replies all... I just dunno when it comes to this scheme. In IA11 then some of them are teal, some of them are 50-50 teal green, some of them are green. There's not any consistency in there. As for the gems atm they're base coated and not finished to be honest this was a test scheme on a canopy that I will be stripping and trying again. Ta all for the input anyway

The green is too green and not blue enough.

I had to go dip into Vallejo to get just the right color.

You can take a look at my Mymeara PLOG if you want. I listed colors and processes.
