Its a solid list. I would just drop the hekatrix upgrade, maybe a venom blade at most but Vect is really all you need. The wyches are more there for bodies. Not much else for fat though. Its personally a little bland for my taste but you can always add variety later as you said.

Thanks for the input! This is just the core I'm looking to start with, as I'm buying every two weeks. Once I complete this and get it all painted, I'll move on to other units like Wracks and so forth. I just wanted to make sure a list like this could take on Space Marines, and daemons...

Your smarter then me. I have a fully painted DE army but i bought it in 98 when the models were fuggly so I am remaking it updated currently but was to eager for my age and bought pretty much everything at once.... The daunting task begins!
As I said its a VERY solid core. As you'll play you definitely want to add the spice of life which is good motivation in your case to paint

I did that with my daemon army... Made painting it feel miserable. This Friday I'm starting Dark Eldar with 2 boxes of Kabalite Warriors, and 2 Raiders. I'll have two weeks to paint these and assemble, which shouldn't be that bad. That way I can actually see the light at the end of the tunnel hahaha. Thanks for your input on my list. I wouldn't call myself WAAC, but I enjoy competitive powerful builds. Dark Eldar seems to have a lot of the traits I enjoy about daemons, i.e. a VERY important movement phase, as well as positioning and target saturation. I'm very excited to be starting DE, and I should have my first game sometime in March or April with them. By then my goal is to have EVERYTHING painted. Even my daemons aren't fully painted. It's been my dream to have a fully painted army above tabletop standard at once on the battlefield.

Solid list. One minor change would be trading the shock prow for aethersails. The prow is nice if you get shaken or whatnot, but you probably want to use the lance over ramming. The aethersails help you get to combat as you probably only have 1 turn of raider mobility, and the extra few inches will make sure you get the charge.
I also personally like night shields over flickerfields for raiders, but neither is exclusively wrong. To each their own.

Thanks, this is good insight. How is the Dark eldar matchup vs vanilla marines typically?

I have to ask, are you looking to play for fun or to play competitively? If its the later than this list is honestly going in the wrong direction. Ideally your infantry are you're anti tank (blaster born, 5 man warriors with blasters, 5 wyches with haywire grenades) and your vehicles are your anti-infantry (venoms).
Vect is a powerhouse for sure but he's terrible inefficient for his points (a decent opponent will make sure his raider is the first to go down). The best CC threat DE have are Beast Packs, if you can get the Baron in there, so much the better.
I know it might seem repetitive but tons of venoms with beastpacks and ravagers in support are what make for the best DE lists in the current meta.
A list like I outlined with Nightshields tends to give Tau fits and has a pretty easy time with marines. The key is to get as much damage dealing capability into as many cheap units as you can. That way when your paper airplanes start dropping it doesnt hurt as bad.
Edit: Here's my list for comparison. http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/576359.page

Honestly, daemons are my tourney army. I really just wanna kick my buddies ass with a fluffy vect list. I mean who doesn't wanna win against there best friend and cause them to furiously rewrite another list to try and topple yours? I want to run a bunch of Kabalite warriors with a squad of wyches, I also want to run vect. And I want my Kabal to be the black heart Kabal. I envision my splinter rifles/cannons handling the troops and my raiders / ravagers taking out land raiders and the such with dark lances. That's the kind of theme I've built inside my head.
To put things short, would this list I posted win more often than not in a game night environment, not really a tourney setting?

Honestly no idea, each area has our own meta. Would you win a lot of games in my area? No, not really, but then again I've been to so pretty secluded FLGS that tend to focus more on themes and the story behind and army, and in that kind of environment you might do ok.

As the others said, a solid list really. For general mucking about its perfectly fine.
Just get a few games in and start thinking more about how the army plays, be warned if the dice hate you you will lose that is a fact
If IIRC you ask for advice agaisnt marines with predators and drop pods...
In that case you should be fien, preds do not fare too well against lances and you have enough to bugger them up in a turn or two. Drops pods are a bit of a bugger, it depends on how many the enemy pack. 2 is easy to deal with, one has to come down on turn 1 so deploy and move accordingly and try to 'force' him to go where you want him to. Dropping right into a trap is a dead cert that the unit will die on your turn, just hope the unit they shoot at survives, flickerfields+ nightshields tends to help even if its expensive. People find it annoying when you have a 5+ invun either way (just incase you are going 2nd...) and then you remove the 2d6 melta pen roll. Remeber at least now taking 1 or 2 glancing hits does not mean you are dead.

Really awesome and productive feedback. Here's an alternative to the list above. I think I might be leaning slightly more towards this. Could you tell me if it would be better than my original list?

Out of interest, whats your plan when (Yes, when) Vects ride gets blown outta the sky? Boom, over half your wyches dead. Those wyches are ablative wounds and they simply don't do that well. I have already discussed how Grotesques do this much better as well as being more effective in combat (On the charge vs MEQ not accounting drugs wyches do 1 wound while 3 Grotesques will do 1.3, also not accounting the wyches combat potential lost through dead wyches) but i would also suggest 6 Incubi to be better then the wyches for standard killing and durability from explosions. It's not as if your lacking AT anyhow. Maybe i am not understanding what you want from your wyches, if you want the AT then units of 5 are better and they simply don't work well in CC.
Apart from that it's a very, very good list. When you upgrade to 2kpts maybe you could ally in Inquisitor Corteaz to man a quad gun and let you re-roll to seize, then since it is double force org you could drop a warrior squad for an extra Ravager, because almost always going first and packing 12 DL shots is win in a bottle.
