Thanks! Did you predict I would win or lose? I always think of that comment you made a while ago saying you could tell before the report even started
Red Corsair wrote:Yea nice report though I prefer the full 25 khymera to flocks. Massive footprint and doesn't need to waste forewarning.
Eh, I *do* like the idea of 25 Khymerae, but that path holds a few problems for me personally. Namely, that the pack is more expensive (both points and money!), has less versatility (no rending), and less total wounds (Razorwings have 5 each, making my beast pack 45 vs. the 30 w/ all Khymerae). You're definitely right that I wish forewarning wasn't such a crutch, but against many opponents, I'll at least have a 4+ cover save (Tau being the obvious exception).
Have you had a lot of success running 25 Khymerae?

Great battle rep, thanks for sharing.
HAHA, if you hate BeastStar, you must hate any form of Deathstar! Screamers have a 2++ rerollable, and the Seer Council gets a 2+ save, 2+ cover, AND 4++ rerollable! O'VesaStar just has a ton of 2+ saves, followed by
FNP. BeastStar is fairly tame in comparison, with many of the models only getting a 6+ save unless I get lucky and roll both Fortune and Forewarning. Granted, there are a lot more Beasts, but this Star is one of the tamer ones out there
That said, it doesn't appear as if you're hating on my list in general, and I'm very glad you enjoyed it! Maybe I should be keeping this list secret so that the people who pay attention won't be able to problem-solve my list beforehand, but what's the fun in that?

The last time I faced against the Beaststar with Fortune, I just couldn't kill it. Unlike you, my opponent's dice was just golden. Gosh....I put so much firepower into that unit.
Hopefully, you can get your army finished in time for the LVO. Good luck.
Ha, thanks! I love the BeastStar so far (this was my 3rd game using it). I'm hoping I have a few experiences like your opponent during the
LVO - this game was initially very discouraging, like there was no point to having Fortune at all. My opponent actually pointed it out after the game though, that it's a sign of a good list that you can still win despite poor rolling. Who knows if it's an actually good list, but it does very much cater to my personal play style, which I feel is more important than the
raw 'power' factor of a list!

Thanks, we're looking forward to it! Hopefully I won't just want to sleep the whole time, as my wife and I just had our first child, who makes sure we get as little sleep as possible. Who could predict someone would want to go to a
40k event in Vegas to help catch up on sleep??
