I really like the look and feel, but the jaguar mount looks a little small for a space marine. Not sure what to do about that, but very cool overall.

I just love original armies! I have to agree that the beastie looks a bit small for the heavy Space Marine, but this idea is so cool I would let it slip

Love the idea, and really like the way that the marine has turned out, but I'd echo that the jaguar does look a little small but it is really well painted.

That looks great but you have been preempted, 4chan's /tg/ has already invented a fairly well known chapter like this called the Blood Jaguars. They even look similar to your model.

Or was that what you were going for?

I say do a whole force using Blood Angels rules and Sanguinary Death masks on leaders for blood sacrifices. Need a brightly colored Stormraven of ...coatl something or other

That is just the right amount of goofy and cool.

I love the idea and the paint work is excellent, but I do have issues with the cat. It looks too small and I feel like it takes away from the overall look of the model.

That being said, you have to do more! I really like the direction your going in and can't wait to see more.

This model took about a week overall (due to a combination of uni and me being the slowest painter known to man! ) and has shown to me the leaps and bounds that I've came since I started this hobby about 5 years ago. I think it's testament to the fact that anyone can go from quite shoddy paintwork to tabletop standard if they keep trying

As for the Jaguar itself, it comes from the Panther Lancers set from Mantic (pretty sure it's Mantic anyway...) and although in these photos the Jaguar does look a tad too small for the Captain, I'm pretty sure that has to due with the angle that the photos are at rather than the actual model itself; it appears to fit much better in real life.

Oh man you beat me too it. I was planning on doing a blood jaguars space marine kill team. Cool stuff.

If you wanted a larger Jaguar there are some nice zoo animal toys that might work well.

Nice look but agree bigger jaguar needed.

No carnivore that size would have the constitution to carry a Space Marine. Its back would snap. LOL.

In any case, nice painting.

Very cool imagination I think giant lizards would be better mounts though rather than a jaguar. maybe do like space wolves and have them as battle companions
