So the 2 Player Starters have the armies we want to have. But if we change out mind we'll take battlegroup boxes. Do all of these Battlegroup boxes have the same amount of points inside of them. We wanted to start small so.

Poor ignorant guardsmen, it be but one of many of the great miracles of the Emperor! The Emperor is magic, like Harry Potter, but more magic! A most real and true SPACE WIZARD! And for the last time... I'm not a space plumber.

No. The number of points in a battlegroup starter varies. You can still play games with them to learn the rules (and it's recommended that you do so) and then move up to 15 points or whatever.

Even in those 2 Player Starterboxes?

The two player boxes both total to 20 points, IIRC. The individual boxes vary a bit (the OOP Dwarf box is about 6 or 7, IIRC, and Cryx gets up to 15), but are pretty well balanced against each other. Well, barring Cryx/Khador. That matchup is just hell.

The Menoth force is 21, actually.

The two player box will be the most bang for your buck in regards to models. Though neither MOW or Cinerators are generally considered top end infantry for their respective faction.

But you also get a mini rulebook and a few other goodies.

Exactly what Mordekiem said - however, the Menoth player can partially assemble the Cinerators and do a little conversion work to make them Bastions, which are much better than Cinerators at the moment.

Yeah, you can simply not glue their swords and shields in and then either purchase the Bastion halberd arms OR you could get halberds from another source.

Cato Sicarius, after force feeding Captain Ventris a copy of the Codex Astartes for having the audacity to play Deathwatch, chokes to death on his own D-baggery after finding Calgar assembling his new Eldar army.

I wish I had thought of converting them before I assembled and painted them. Although they turned out looking friggin awesome I am underwhelmed by their performance.

Yep--I actually consider the Cryx battle box the worst way to introduce (either) player into the game. Nothing fun about getting the Withering on your army while trying to learn.

I also think small point values should be moved up very quickly--once you know the mechanics and actually want a game. 15-25 points just feels like combination-machine--which undersells the game imo.
