The funny thing about this list was how difficult it was to stay in the FoC.

Tournament rule: Formations must take the necessary slots from their associated codex.

Fun list, might give up Warlord easily though.

Man I wish DL still had the "Where'd it go?" special rule. That was Awesome.

The problem I see is that you have NO synapse at all! Your hormaguants are going to eat themselves and the carnifexes may stand around like gaks if they fail instinctive behavior... If you want to try this list- which I agree would be FUN.. I would put at least one squad of warriors in there to give synapse to the fexes and venomthrope and lose the guants.. In addition I think 5 man squads of stealers are going to die rather quickly..

Armies
Eldar, Dark Eldar, Harlequins, Eldar Corsairs, Orks, Tyranids, Genestealer Cult, Chaos, Choas Space Marines, Tau, Sisters of Battle, Inquisition, Necrons, Space Marines, Space Wolves, Grey Knights, Imperial Knights, Dark Angels, Imperial Guard, Ad Mech, Knights, Skaven, Sylvaneth

Shrikes are Flying Warriors/Synapse

Carnifexes are also single feed models...so they treat IB Feed rolls of 1-3 as a 4-5

maybe find some points to add some Biovores.

And the close combat carnifexes wont do much in this list im afraid, they will either wait in the bastion and IF your opponent is a close combat army (frightfully rare these days) then maybe they will bring the fight to them but if not then they will likely just wait to get killed or charge across the field and get killed before reaching anyone, making them dakkafexes is so worthwhile, for 15 pts you get 12 TL shots, sure you lose AG but you dont need it as much and then they have a very decent threat bubble. although looking at your list you might want to avoid MC and just go for the smaller dudes, rending can deal with all the big nastys.

more lictors would be good tho, teams of 3 in this list could be good.

not sure about the hormagaunts either, keep going with more genestealers I say, if you need troops to sit in the bastions take warriors, they can shoot 36" large blast pinning hits and dont need another unit with synapse to babysit them and make sure they dont eat their own faces.

I know what I would immediately kill.
It's an initially scary list, but a prepared opponent (Or, a careful one,) will still be able to take out your synapse fairly easily.
That being said, if you can keep them alive (and still position them well) long enough to get your Genestealers in combat and your Carnifaxes in range, you won't be in any bit of trouble.

So, it really comes down to how well you can handle cover, and if your opponents can fend of assaults well. I feel like (This is just a guess) Dark Angels could do surprisingly well with Greenwing Banner of Devestation and lots of combat squads.

I ran into the problem of not owning enough of the right models to fill out the list.

More stealers, mawlocs and biovores would be perfect...but i lack them.

Dakkafexes would be picked apart...and warriors are too slow...the whole list needs to be in the enemy's face turn 1/2.

I could see one having a laugh with this. I think terrain at the tourney would matter. If you don't get to place your own and are subject to the table, the GS brood could be so so...

horms are about the only unit that need true synapse love till they get in combat which is good. Rest of the army will do fine even if they get caught out.

I think you will catch a lot of people off guard. I think the mobile shooty armies will still give you issues.

- 4500pts: Shinzon Dynasty
3000pts: Hive Fleet Empusa
- 3000pts Rampagers

I think this list is illegal, no? The Manufactorum Genestealers formation, unless i'm mistaken, exists outside of your FOC, meaning they don't count as troops choices at all, unless that tournament rule (which I dont quite understand) changes that?

Normally, you're absolutely correct!

But this tournament forces formations and dataslates to be included within your primary force's normal FoC.
