Hello fellow dakkites! I have come forth to humbly ask for your opinion and critique on this list. I am to play it this coming weekend against a CSM player who likes to use an infiltrating chosen list (so lots of plasma out the wazoo) and he also has a heldrake.

Here is my list:

HQ – 140

Warboss – 140

- Power Klaw
- Warbike
- Bosspole
- Cybork Body

Troops – 895

6 x Nob Bikers – 415
- 2 x Power Klaw
- Bosspole
- Painboy
- 6 x Cybork Body
- 3 x Big Choppa
- WAAAGH! Banner

3 x 20 Ork Shoota Boyz – 480
- Nob
- Power Klaw
- Bosspole

Fast Attack – 130

Dakkajet – 130
- Flyboss
- Additional twin-linked supa shoota

Heavy Support – 330

3 x Battlewagons – 330
- 2 x Big Shootas
- Reinforced Ram
- Grot Riggers

A big source of contention within me is whether or not I should just drop the dakkajet for a Big Mek with KFF to further protect my three battlewagons. The Nob Bikers can go do their own thing but don't know if my shoota boyz will be safe enough in their wagons if chosen are infiltrating all around them. Or would spending on sheer offense via the dakkajet pay off more than paying for protection? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I would keep the Dakka Jet ..however . I would drop one Nob from one group of boys and one of the Nob bikers to pay for a solid Big Mek/KFF(Burna,Cyb,BP) ..to ride with the Wagon boyz ..

Hm...I never thought of getting rid of a Nob within one of the Shoota Boy squads, thanks for the idea! He would more or less just replace the Nob anyways once I put him in the one without one. I still feel a little uneasy taking away a Biker Nob from the squad. Isn't 6-7 the optimal number? I know the Boss is going to help round them out with his leadership but will one less biker make them that much more squishy? The last time I ran them it ran into a Daemon Prince with the Black Mace, the Warboss summarily splatted him with his S10 PK but they were in turn stunned by stupid blind attacks from the Slaanesh primaris psyker power followed by a simultaneous double chosen assault that broke them. I feel like if I had more Biker Nobz they would be able to pad some of the stuff that would be thrown their way.

I feel like the helldrake is gonna be a bit mean to those biker's. But they still have Cybork/FnP.

I'm curious why three big choppas if you've already got the three PK's in that group. Seems overkilly..

I am the kinda ork that takes his own washing machine apart, puts new bearings in it, then puts it back together, and it still works.

Mainly because I modeled them that way (looks cooler IMO hanging a big ass choppa on your back or going "look! no hands!" while having both hands swinging it around) but also because I prefer the reliability of wounding on 2's rather than 4's even if I get the extra attack. That plus that way it can even handle unlikely threats like monstrous creatures before they hit (i.e. carnifexes from tyranids which will also be present tomorrow) or have a little more versatility in the odd chance the PK's get killed first somehow.

Just a hint, get ridd of the invidual point costs (copyright terms on dakka)

The list is all dandy and good but i feel one lone dakkajet aint doing good here, i think you are better of using the points from the dakkajet to add 2 more nob bikers.

Right! I copy-pasted from Word document so I forgot...*bonks head in shame* brain-fart moment for me!

On a gaming note, I thought the dakkajet might provide some late-game pressure, especially since by then my nob bikers will either be bogged down in combat or severely depleted from focussed shooting. Isn't 8 nob bikers a little overkill? (even by my standards ) Seems a little too much of a case of all eggs in one basket.

Well the choise is all yours

No wait! Now i remb what i normally use instead of dat dakkajet, a kff mek to give those battlewagons some cover and potential HP repair.
Use the left over points for kombi skochas for the nob bikers for awesome overwatch or burning units to smitherins.
