Hello!
I am offering a painting service that specializes in battle damage. I am a high level painter, and I just want to get the word out. I do business for you, not for me, which means, if there is a dispute, I will try to make it right!
Check out my website at http://battledamage.net

Have you set up a thread in the showcase to get your work out there for others to see?

Post up pics up finished commissions and personal projects there, and see what response you get

Also in the dakka swap shop they have a commission painters thread that you could join too

I took a look at your website and I would like to offer a few suggestions that might help you drum up some work. First off if you are going to advertise your services as a "high level painter" I would suggest posting high quality pics of your finished work, complete with neutral back grounds and decent lighting. A claim such as that needs sufficient evidence to back up. I would consider the models that you have posted as being a solid table top. Lined highlights are not clean, washes are not applied and feathered, mold lines are present ect. The pricing you have listed also seems a little high as well compared to the work.

None of this is to say that you should not pursue your desire to be a commission painter, please do, I wish you the best, but at this point in your career you might want to rethink a few advertising strategies to give you the best possible chance to succeed.

Good luck!

A.

Ashton's being polite.
This is not high level work. A while back there was a post started by a guy called TyranidPainter. He was pretty basic and self-inflated to start, but he took a lot of feedback on board and really grew from it. You should probably go and look through that thread, much of the same advice and feedback you'll get here is presented in it.
