Here is the Tyranid Harospex to go with the Exocrine I posted a few days ago. Hope you like.

It's now on to Dwarves for me on Monday, got sent a Dwarf Goblobber and crew to paint up, now I've not seen one of those in a while!

Anyway on to the images ...

Need something painting, let me know at http://www.battlepainted.com

I looks simple, under highlighted and a bit bland until you really look at it: Then you realise just how much work went into the highlights and how subtle they actually are.

I mean, it's 6:24 and I'm waiting to do signons so my eyes might not be good, but I like the fact that it fooled me. Exalt.

Love it once again great contrast of colors. Nice choice of washes to make the color pop.

I think the carapace could use a little more highlighting but the rest looks fanominal. What did you use for the goopy stuff in the maw?

How did you do the strings between the various mandibles? That's amazing stuff, man.

For those that don't realize, that's not part of the actual model.

For tthe blood goop I used:

UHU glue
Tamiya Clear Red
and i tiny tiny bit of black

Start putting the UHU glue down and mix roughly 10 small drops of Tamiya clear red and a tiny amount of black, mix together with a tooth pick (don't use a brush unless you want to throw it away after). When mixing you will see how it strings together, keep mixing and after a couple of minutes, scoop some up on your tooth pick and apply and stretch to the area you want the goop between. You will notice as time goes by the micture thickens and you can do thick goop.

Hope that helps some.

Very nice work, the gore is particularly well done and very much the eye-grabber on this model - as you intended, of course.

Wow the blending/highlighting on that is beautiful!

my only criticism is the bodies on the base, what were so many naked people doing just before mr haruspex burst in and spoiled the party?

In all seriousness though a beautifully painted piece
