Hey guys, I just discovered this forum from searching for stuff on Google.
I used to play Space Marines and Imperial Guard when I was a kid, but I took a break for years, and now I'm looking to get back into it. Unfortunately I don't have the money to build up a whole army, and my old stuff doesn't look as good as I'd like it to. Some things have even gotten damaged over the years. So, I'm looking to build a new model, and I want to go all out instead of just getting a squad of ten men. I have decided on the Chaos Lord Khorne of Skulls.
I want to make it look completely badass, so I want to go to town on it. Have you guys got any ideas, or know of any cool conversions? I'll be working closely with the guys in my local shop, but I'm just looking all over really.

I quite like what that guy has done. I think I will still go for a more Khorne feel than Nurgle one, but I might steal from his colour scheme a little. I want this conversion to still be compatible with the lore and mythology, so while inspiration from other sources is cool, I don't want to go into crossover territory.
Some things I have been thinking of...
Putting it on a base, with wreckage and burnt meat paste around it.
Meat paste on the tracks.
Defiled Imperial imagery, this is a Chaos Space Marine after all, and I quite like the whole corruption of all that is "good" that is Chaos.
Perhaps three Juggernauts pulling it along, like horses pulling a chariot.
Perhaps some kind of piping from the vats plugged into the weapons.
A daemon perched on a shoulder?
Various Chaos bitz stuck on.
Replacing some of the skulls with Space Marine helmets or Eldar heads.
Exposed chest cavity with scar tissue or tentacles/intestines underneath?
Tentacles coming out from underneath the shoulder pads.
Anyway, not everything here is practical or doable under a budget, but it's just some ideas. What do you guys think?
