Does anybody know what the Issue number of the last 'White Dwarf monthly' was?

I had a look through the new White Dwarf weekly this weekend. It seems to have collated all the less interesting elements of White Dwarf monthly, including the Jervis column. Hopefully the sealed monthly magazine is a better read.

Spain in Flames: Flames of War (Spanish Civil War 1936-39) Flames of War: Czechs and Slovaks (WWI & WWII) Sheffield & Rotherham Wargames Club

Definitely not the applicable word...

Indeed. Reading implies that there's more than a page worth of text scattered through the whole thing.

Warhammer Visions doesn't read as well as those comics that tell a story using only pictures. Remember when marvel did that? Story told only through action panels, not a single word used. THOSE read better than Warhurl Visions. And yeah, I'm making that the name until someone comes up with something better.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

When they changed to the ..err... old new format -- the smaller size etc -- I believe they stopped numbering them at all.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

They did, but the last WD Monthly (Jan 2014) would have been 409 in the UK had the numbering continued.

Thanks. It's about ten years since I bought White Dwarf, I stopped at 300. I just wanted to know how long it had carried on for since. Warhammer Visions sounds terrible, I give it six months before it folds.

I don't think it will fold, i think it will change again. Last years big reboot clearly didn't work so they're trying something new, when it also fails they will tweak it

I'm not so sure, the tweak to WV from WD is more pictures, multiple languages and less content, which is cheaper to produce, at a much higher price. Any further change from here is going to increase costs, as it couldn't really get any cheaper to produce, and increased costs = lower profit margin = lower share price = tk slightly less rich = probably won't happen. I personally think WV will be dead in a year and WDW will be all that remains.
