How flexible is the tail? Is it fixed in that position, or is it possible to make it straighter? Thanks.

100% super rigid, zero flex.
Takes a fair amount of cutting and greenstuff work to change it's position.

Hmm. I was thinking I might use the tail as a massive whip on a conversion project of mine, and raid the rest of the model for spikes etc., but I might have to rethink that plan.

Yeah, pretty much rigid.
With boiling water or a heat gun you can get some bend with it, but unlike bending resin pieces, bending styrene is exceptionally tricky.
I bend a lot of plastic minis here and there, and the problem is they go from very rigid to melting quickly, and it takes experience to manipulate them at the in-between stage of pliable.
It would almost be eaiser to sculpt a new one, honestly.

Sculpt it out of green stuff? Perhaps.

It's not fully round. It's hollow and open to the underside. Even if you could bend it, it would still require lots of work to make into a whip.

Oh, well that throws that plan out of the window really. Thanks very much!
