So I am quickly finding that having a squadron of Valkyries - while awesome on the table - is a PITA to transport. I've got several hardshell cases from harbor freight that I've been using for all models thus far, but given the shape of the valk you can't really fit two of them correctly in there. As such, I was thinking - it would be far easier to modularize the wing and hull components, that way they can be stacked (side by side for hull, top for wings). If I remember correctly, the wing section is just a glue-on bit to the hull itself, but the "door" has to ride in the channel created.

Has anyone gone this route? Do you just pop on the sliding doors when you put the wings on @ battle time?

Battlefoam has a tray built to carry 2 Valks. The wings are reasonably snug before gluing , so friction fit should be adequate. This is how I transpo and employ my 10 Valks/Vendettas.

I've magnetizsed the wings on those for a fellow gaming club member. They had broken off and there was glue residue everywhere.

I had to insert some plasticard though, to give the magnets a firm hold. The door has nearly no overlap with the frame, but I managed to stick it on there with magnets anyway. Clearly, gluing it in place would be easier.

For giggles, I've arranged the magnet pairs so I could click the wings together. ;-]

If you glue the wing supports/tail boom sections on, then the wings friction fit nicely in place. No need for magnets really.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!
