Want to develop a medium sized (I consider fenblades somewhat small for trolls) troll list centering on borka. Thing is, I would like it to at least be competitive, and not be family reunion. This includes warbeasts, so was thinking probably axers, bouncers and impalers only. I also want to theme my army, so meelee support in heavy looking armor, casters looking like wizards, probably no guy carrying guys. Thinking long riders, troll champions, troll sorcerors (when they are released) trollkin runeshapers, troll axers, troll bouncers ( I know right!) trollkin warders, sons of bragg, felllcallers, fenblade kithkars, skaldi bonehammer, trollkin champions, and that's about it.

My question is this. Is there a competitive list in here somewhere. I was thinking along the lines of

Borka (+5)
Troll bouncer 5
5x longriders 11
Horthol 5
5x trollkin champions 10
fellcaller 3
2x sorcerer 2
3x trollkin runeshapers 4

and for 50 add
skaldi bonehammer 3
another fellcaller 3
2x fenblade kithkar 4
troll axer 5

Now Im sure my noobishness is showing and this probably wouldn't work well. But it would sure look cool on the board. What do you think?

Where are you generating your fury from? I only see 1 light beast in the 35 point list and 1 more light beast in the 50 point list.
I suggest you add at least 2 more lights or a light and a heavy. Otherwise you're never going to be casting spells after the 2nd or 3rd turn since your opponent will just kill off your beast(s) and you will have to cut yourself for fury.

Please at least get a Pyre Troll and/or Slag troll in there too.

You will be seriously hurting for lack of Fury if you only have 1-2 beasts. Especially if you can't even fill your caster up normally.

It is not hard to put one light beast in the dirt if you want to. And then its really just a matter of time till your warlock is basically useless.

If my opponent had only 1 light beast I'd be willing to sacrifice a heavy 3 times its point cost to kill it because it would demolish my opponent's ability to cast spells and transfer. You also have the problem of not being able to hurt enemy heavies very reliably.

Preferably, you'd have a Mauler and EBDT/Bomber plus an Axer or Impaler at a minimum, even at 35 points. Trolls are all about their nasty beasts.

I 3rd everyone else. I'd kill your one beast and watch your caster cut itself to death.
