Here are a few pics that I took during my games at the LVO. I didn't take nearly as many as I would have liked as I was pretty much focused on playing:

Round one, vs Salamanders Chapter tactics! This game came down to one dice roll. On a 8 or more on 3 dice and I win. I rolled a 7. My opponent had some Forge world units; a Sicaran Battle tank, a Land Raider Achilles and a Whirlwind Scorpius. Final score 4 for me, and 6 for Trevor.

Rounds two, vs White Scars tactics, "Rhino Rush". 60 marines versus 60 marines! I swarmed him with bikes and pods to hold him in his deployment zone. Then in the last round the bikes fell back and grabbed every objective. Final score 9 for me, and 0 for Zac

I didn't take any pics of my third game. Paul was a great guy, and we had a very fun game. Plus, as you can see his army looked amazing. He won a prize for his paint job.
He had Tau with Scars allies and a Skyshield. He used used the skyshield very effectively. I won primary, by showing him just how good bikes are at the Relic. He won seconday, first blood and line breaker. Final score 3 for me and 4 for Paul.

Day two, Round 4 vs Daemons with Chaos Space Marine allies. A real nice guy, you could tell he was having a lot of fun in Vegas. Also, he was a commission painter and some of his models looked absolutely spectacular. That said, he was running Double Hell Drake and Double demon prince. Potentially a pretty rough combo for me. I got real lucky and took out both Drakes early. One with a lucky Krak grenade to the rear armor. Yes, I rolled 6-6-6 to kill it. After that his army came apart. In the end he had only the princes left and I held all objectives. Final score 9 for me and 1 for Chris.

Round 5: My last game was vs IG (Mechanicum) with Iron Hands allies. They say that your last round should be your most even match up. What can I say, Ben is a tough opponent with a solid list and school was in for me this game. His Iron Hands Chapter Master Felt No Pain and It Would Not Die for some 5 wounds and ended the game at full health. Still a lot of fun and great end to an awesome tournament. Final score 1 for me and 5 for Ben

LED's.

He is working on putting LED's on all of his bikers, the drop pods and also eventually his stormtalons.

Great armies and some excellent looking tables. It comes across that you had a great time, and that makes the thread more interesting to look at.

Thanks for posting! Really good report, some lovely armies there and a great sense of how the tables felt.

The LEDs are quite funky, very nice touch!

Thank you.

I would love to play another game Jim. Especially vs those nids of yours. I need to learn more about playing vs the new bugs.

Those are Powered Play LEDs. They are pretty easy to install on a finished model. Once I started on a couple models I just kept going. Hopefully the last two squads can be lit by the Golen Throne tournament this summer. We'll have to see how out of control I get with this. I know it's over the top, but to me that is what the hobby side of this this game is all about.

Can you make the champions and HQ have different colored LED's? They look really nice btw.

How did those table mats play? They look nice in the pics.

EDIT: What about getting some invisible ink paint which only shows up when you turn the black light LED's on and paint on some ruins/symbols? That'd be pretty sweet.

Thank you.
Each combat squad has different color LEDs. I like the uv ink idea. That will be perfect for my rune priest. I have a bunch of the uv ones to use for that.

I used them to light my Crusader Titan and they worked very well.

What size LEDs are those in the bikes? That is such an awesome addition to the army.

They are the 3mm lights from powered play. I took pictures to do a tutorial, and will post it up when finished.
