Alright so I was trying to come up with a twist on a meatgrinder mission archetype. I'll be trying this out later today hopefully. I'm definitely not an accomplished writer but figured I'd try and come up with a setting for it as well.

Any tips on glaring lore errors or broken game mechanics would be appreciated.

The final battle aboard the Indomitus:

The Indomitus was an Emperor Class Battleship lost to the fickle tides of the warp during the conflicts of the Horus Heresy. In the midst of the 13th Black Crusade it resolved back to realspace just beyond the Cadian Gate. Realizing that the hulk may shelter priceless relics of the early days of the Imperium both sides of the Long War send forces to claim the Drifting Leviathan.

However, once their armies were aboard and battle was joined, a sinister peal of laughter bellowed from every vox speaker on board and the mighty behemoth was dragged back into the violent tides of the warp. Over the millennia the vengeful foes have clashed many times in the twisted bowels of the cursed derelict but any soldier struck down awakes to find their rent flesh reknitting before their eyes. Only those completely vaporized are granted any escape from the endless conflict.

After countless years of sanity fraying slaughter a potential end to the stalemate has been revealed. A dataslate has been found that details a failsafe built into the command console aboard the bridge. This most desperate of subroutines will scour all life aboard the ship which doesn't match the genetic racial sample on file and immediately translate the ship out of Warp Space. Unfortunately for the eternal combatants, the genetic library from eons past has degraded completely meaning any activation of the subroutine in its current state will end both factions existence forever. A fate neither side can risk with the posibility of a complete STC database somewhere amongst the sprawling detritus.

For this plan to succeed one side must upload a new sample into the Apothecarium's database and engage the genocidal subroutine.

Two desperate forces trapped aboard the ancient warship struggle to eradicate their hated foes for the final time.

Rules:
The game only ends when the victory condition is met... Any unit completely destroyed or falling back whilst below 25% of their starting strength may go into ongoing reserves instead.

Table layout: Divide a standard 6x4 table into a 4x4 and a 2x4 area to represent the two separate decks of the ship.

Travelling between decks: There are still two functioning Teleportarium arrays linking the Bridge and the Apothicarium.
You will need two sets of two matching markers.
Place two mismatched markers 8" in from each table edge along the center line of the 4x4 section and the other two corresponding markers 8" in from the center of both short board edges of the 2x4 section.

These markers allow units to travel from one table section to the other through the corresponding marker. To do so follow the same procedure as embarking into a vehicle. When a unit emerges it scatters D6+6" even if a hit is rolled (use the small arrow on the HIT symbol) If a unit would scatter off the table reduce the scatter sufficiently to keep them in the play area.

In the center of the 2x4 area place a small terrain feature to represent the Apothicarium's genetic repository.
In the center of the 4x4 area place a small terrain feature to represent the Command Console on the Bridge of the Indomitus.

Deployment: Dawn of War deployment is used with the exception that no units may be deployed on the 2x4 section of the table. The transitional markers are the only way to gain access to the 2x4 section.

Sudden Engagement: Models may only deploy 8" onto the table

Enclosed: No units with the Flyer unit type may be used in this mission. FMCs must take a grounding check every time they swoop due to the cramped and treacherous nature of the decaying Hulk. Vehicles, Bikes, Jump and Jet pack units treat all terrain (even open ground) as dangerous due to the crumbling condition of the Hulk.

Victory Conditions:
For one side to enact the Genocidal Purge Subroutine they must control both the Genetic Repository and the Command Console at the end of their turn. To see if the failing systems respond to the commands they must roll a 5+. Add +1 to each roll for every turn after the 4th. Ie. On turn 5 a 4+ would be required, a 3+ on turn 6 etc. A roll of a 1 always fails.

Ancient Archeotech:
To represent the delicate nature of uploading the new genetic material units may contest control of the Genetic Repository when within 6"
