I love my knights. Back before I even considered modelling. Heavy angular armor. Gimme gimme

I've painted a lot of grey knights. Sadly I'm getting bored of the shiny shiny. Which got me thinking. White being a purity colour why not make em white.

So my idea was white main. In the scripted recesses black. Silver lettering. Sparse gold on inquisition feeling stuff and a splash of red to bring out the regal side. Or purple for cloth eyes and force weapons

Anyone done anything similar or have any tips suggestions?

I would suggest an off white. Pure white would look fairly bad I think. Dirty it up some maybe if you want to go pure white?

Now, we like big books. (And we cannot lie. You other readers can’t deny, a book flops open with an itty-bitty font, and a map that’s in your face, you get—sorry! Sorry!)

And if you really want a pure white it really needs a silver primer or base coat.

It would look unique which is nice. Grey Knights are really just all.. pretty much the same. I know that is their whole thing but still.

Because I'm working with gw paints was going to prime white. Then base grey. Do all my other stuff. Then do my white in thin layers.

The silver is driving me crazy lol because I also have a Necron army I am seriously about to snap, and I dont wanna go do something stupid like buy Tau!

I was going to start with doing a Draigowing in white. I have dirty silver purifiers ( I like the idea of them being dirty because of cleansing flame) with my imposing white paladin.

Lol white knights. Better than pink knights I would say XD

I think ivory/bone would look nice

I am painting Draigo right now with a white / Ivory look, gold details red cape and purple sword . I too was trying to get away from the silver theme and I am trying this only for Draigo. If the results are good I am gonna give it a go on the paladin squad too. Pure white is very hard to manipulate but an off white or a bleached bone kind of color is way more easy and can very easily be shadowed with brown which in turns sticks really nice with red . I wouldn't use silver along gold, since Grey knight figures are already full off bells and whistles regarding detail so theme might become a little too much.

Got milk?

All I can say about painting is that VMC tastes much better than VMA... especially black...

PM me if you are interested in Commission work.

Yes that's amazing!!!

The only difference is less gold more silver.

To much gold reminds me of Catholic priest. /Insert pope hat

Certainly, go for whatever color scheme you want. My own Grey Knights are going to be in a dark purple and red color scheme.
