New list i am working on its been tested once and it went very well.

So the idea is to have the AV 13 in the front and the razorbacks following behind and the rhinos behind that with the predator sitting in the back throwing las shots across the battlefield. AV is not the most reliable in 6th but with that much of it its not all going down turn one or 2 and having to chose between the tanks and the transports should make for lots of scoring units come turn 5(or 6 or 7). but please comment on anything that you like or that should be changed.

I don't think the SP's are necessary, you should get another squad in a razorback with las/plas...
Other than the predator, you don't have much AV 14 killing stuff. the vindicators can scatter off... and you should probably drop that on bikes and crap. other than that looks really good!

i'm not an expert bu think lascannon predator is greatly overpriced for BA
i think you can drop it and put las/plas on razorback, using them both for long range support and transport.

I love the priest cause a 5 man squad isn't going to live long against a lot of fire power and assault marines arnt all that good in cc after the charge so it tends to keep my marines alive long enough to finish off what they are fighting or just keep something tied up all game. As for the predator yea its way over priced but so is 35pts for one lascannon shot a turn if I drop the predator I'd probably add some power fist to the sergeants or some DC with power fist and/or TH. They would be more reliable for poping AV. But the reason I'd stay with the predator is the range. If I put the las plas on the razorbacks they arnt going to sit back and with ah 11 they will pop fast to a lot of small arms fire or assault with the predaor I can sit at 48 in and let them worry about the 3 Baal predators advancing with the Vindicators and I feel like that will keep the predator alive long enough to earn its points back.

The SP won't do anything while inside the tank! that is the point of the tank! to take the spot of a SP! Once outside of the tank they will die anyway. they are a 5/8 man squad that will die out in the open with or without FNP.

So your saying that you wouldnt pay 50pts to make your 6 and 10 man squads 33% more durable? That makes a 6 man marine squad a 3+ 5+ and will live longer then a AV 11 transport. The tanks are simply there to move the units across the board into combat or to objectives i have no hopes to have anything AV 11 alive at the end of the game.

Just think of it like this every time you make a FNP you get are adding to the points that you spent on the unit so if I make 2 FNP saves that basicly pays for the priest and then every time the unit that was saved is able to kill something it pays off the priest. With a squad of 6 marines including the priest you should make 2 FNP saves so your priest is almost guaranteed to earn its point back in all of my squads. With 150 I could buy one more razorback squad so 5 more marines and one TL HB or add las plas to the 2 I alredy have. So I find the points much better spent in keeping the marines I have alive not just adding more marines.

you would have to make three saves to earn back points. otherwise it's only 36 points, and the priest is 50. you aren't going to make three. you probably wont get the chance since the ASM will be in razorbacks.

I understand I probably won't make 3 saves but think about when you make one or 2 of them if that marine kills something then those points from the unit that was killed by a saved marine is going into the cost of the priest so if I save 2 marines and they each kill one of anything they have earned the 50pts back for the priest and then there's the wow games when you miss 4 saves and then roll 3 or 4 5+ and then you you look like a champ for investing the points. But I could see adding more scoring units or something like that would be useful. But from the games I have had with priests they tend to almost always be worth the 50.

So I reworked the list yesterday and it did really well! I got to go first and my opponent was ready to call the game befor he got his first turn.

So I played against a speed freak ork list and he had 4 trucks and 2 battle waggons all in a group to use cover saves. Had a squad of 20 storm Boyz and 8 lootas. After scouting the baals and droping 2 furiosos turn one I had 5 av 13 units on his side of the table no storm Boyz lived no lootas lived I poped a battle waggon and 2 trucks and the other 2 couldn't move or shoot. Turn 1 he killed a dreadnought, drop pod, and a baal. I then turn 2 poped the last of his trucks and a battle waggon and 1 killa kankan. Then assaulted the rest with the dreadnought and killed them. It wasn't very fun for him.
