Behind you...

Will GW let me use 30K models in 40K for a Chaos Sons of Horus Warband (That is not black legion!).

a) GW will generally not come round your house (or non-GW FLGS) and tell you you're playing their game wrong.

b) If you are playing at your GW-FLGS, then the store manager will have final say on anything (even if he/she is wrong).

c) If you're using the standard CSM codex, rather than the Forgeworld HH rules, then a marine in power armour with a boltgun is a marine in power armour with a boltgun, regardless of armour mark. I would be surprised by anyone finding this as less than cool.

Strictly speaking, from a Rules as Written standpoint, the specialty units in the Horus Heresy Legion Army Lists can't be taken in regular games of 40K. You should treat them as regular Forgeworld units WITHOUT the 40K Approved stamp.

If you're just talking about the actual models... go for it. They're awesome looking. I for one would use the Emperor's Children Kakophoni models in place of Noise Marines any day of the week.

I think it's totally cool and would have no problem with it.

The original poster may be a new player, I'm sure you didn't mean to but your answer came off very elitist and smart assish.

simply, you could have just answered with "it depends on where you play and their rules, but most likely it wouldn't be a big deal"

See how polite and professional that was?

Personally I think Quanar's information was useful and didn't sound elitist or smart 'assish' and I'm a new player.

Do GW FLGS typically allow FW models?

GW don't usually have it in the stores in my neck of the woods but every store is it's own animal.

It's not the size of the blade, it's how you use it.

It certainly wasn't my intent to appear so. I agree I could have phrased it better, and will attempt to do so in future.

If you took FW to my local GW, the staff would be more excited than the customers.
