Yes, I like being TFG with an AV12 flyer in a 500 point game. Just to experiment how well such a list will do.

I got my anti-tank in the form of the Stormraven's TL-MM as well as its 4 missiles;

I got my anti-MEQ/TEQ in the form of the 2 Plasma Cannons (I thought of giving the rhino squad a plasmagun instead, but since I plan to drive them 18" toward an objective, I feel like the PC, once the squad is deployed, will give me moar dakka over subsequent rounds than the PG will).

I've got my AA as well, in the form of the Stormraven's weapons.

Anti-GEQ firepower comes from the Rehven's TL-AC and 2 Hurricane Bolters.

The senile old man aka Librarian is there to mess around with the warp a little bit (and joined the drop pod squad) and the other tac squad stays back and sits on the home objective.

Obviously this entire list's strategy is built upon the opponent not bringing AA guns to a 500 points game.

I’d have gone with the plasmagun, but I can see your point.

It’s a 500 point marine list. There are going to be gaps and problems. But you should do fine with it.

However the chance of getting tabled on turn 1 or even turn 2 (if my stormraven doesnt arrive) is there, as the only things on my side of the table are 2x 5 dudes and 1 libby.

If you are facing an army you think might table you, drop your pod in some obscure corner and have those 5 marines suck cover like cowardly grots. And you can always hover the raven rather then fly off the table if needed. It’s a risk, but you knew that going in with half your army starting in reserves.

speaking of which, I actually have to start the librarian on the table, right? because attaching him to the other SM squad in the pod means I'll have 3 units in reserve and only 1 on the table

I think I'll swap the pod for a rhino

Remember, things that need to start in reserves don’t count.

Step 1, load up all your pods and flyers
Step 2, set them aside.
Step 3, count what’s left on the table
Step 4, reserve half of those (max, optional).
