So another question. Last time it was about the voidraven that isn't actually released. Now its about eldar aspect warriors. The only way you can get them are through dire avengers or Fw. The forge world ones look fantastic but are pricey and I was wondering if anyone knew where to get some nice pieces for them. Or am I gonna have to start sculpting. Also, why da hell do GW do this, putting units in that you can't even buy. For inexperienced modellers its gonna be hell for them trying to get the pieces if they want a cool aspect warrior army or haemonculi coven venom for their armies.

Don't blame GW for missing aspect warriors. They have sculpts for every aspect. All but one are found on their website.

Learn to use search functions before starting trolling threads please. The only aspect warriors on FW website are Shadow Spectres. So in future situations why don't you ask politely before trying to start a flame thread and have it backfire.

Those are finecast, not models. You're not helping the OP at all.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

While I'm sure this was supposed to be witty, it just sounds tired.

Someone is legitimately asking for minis that are available. At OP, what specific Aspects are you looking for that GW doesn't sell?

Oh god of course its you. At what point does the OP distinguish between models and finecast? He/she doesn't. Peregrine you are a troll please go play in traffic. There are currently no aspect warriors that have rules that do not have models available.

Wow, use a website. Read a book. Grow a pair?

They have aspect warriors for sale. They have aspect warriors on ebay and right here. They have aspect warriors on FW.

A real vet would take plastic DE minis and tweak them to make his own special eldar aspects. Just saying.

-"Wait a minute.....who is that Frazz is talking to in the gallery? Hmmm something is going on here.....Oh.... it seems there is some dispute over video taping of some sort......Frazz is really upset now..........wait a minute......whats he go there.......is it? Can it be?....Frazz has just unleashed his hidden weiner dog from his mini bag, while quoting shakespeares "Let slip the dogs the war!!" GG
-"Don't mind Frazzled. He's just Dakka's crazy old dude locked in the attic. He's harmless. Mostly."

What's funny/sad is unless I'm mistaken, the current Aspect Warriors are the same sculpts (barring going from metal to finecast of course) as when they first came out which was... what, 1990? So they are almost 25 years old? Yet how many times have the Marine sprue been redone even when it didn't need to be (I found the 3rd edition plastics to be pretty good overall, just needed additional weapons)

That's actually incorrect. They've been updated at least once since then.

Have they? They look almost the same to my eyes looking at the old and the new. Maybe they just didn't change much

They look similar, but thicker.

Which is good, cause we could still have these for Striking Scorpions:

In fact, other than Warp Spiders, Swooping Hawks, and Shining Spears, the majority have been redone twice.

Oh yeah, I forgot there were three types of Striking Scorpions. Ugh, the 2nd ed ones are better than those.

The aspects which haven't changed at all since they were incepted were Warp Spiders (2nd ed - they weren't 1990 releases, they were a 2nd wave release in 2nd ed) and Shining spears (3rd ed).

Everything else has had at least 3 changes made to the sculpts. Avengers, Scorpions,Reapers, Banshees and dragons.

The scorpions have changed a LOT since the original design. The current ones are Jes Goodwin, the first lot are Jes Goodwin - others were done by other people who really shouldn't have been allowed to do them.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).

If I'm correct he Warp Spiders are the oldest current sculpt. Correct me if I'm wrong. They are still on the original sculpt.
Dire Avengers, Swooping Hawks and Howling Banshees have been done at least twice.
Scorpions and Reapers have been done at least 3 times. Spears are on their first sculpt as well. I very well could be wrong on them as I've never owned them.

Dire Avengers have had 2 updates since 2nd edition - a 3rd edition metal/plastic hybrid kit and the 4th edition onward plastics.
Howling Banshees, Striking Scorpions, Fire Dragons and Dark Reapers have had 2 updates since 2nd edition - 3rd edition metals, 4th edition onward metal/finecast.
Swooping Hawks have had 1 update since 2nd edition - 3rd edition metals.
Shining Spears only got made in 3rd edition.
Warp Spiders have had no updates - but they were the last aspect released in 2nd edition.

Now, the Phoenix Lords and Eldrad Ulthuan haven't had any model updates - but as stated in a few interviews the models have become iconic and stood the test of time rather well. It's the same reason that Abaddon, Ahriman and Kharn have not been updated - you'll find that the new sculpts of the aspects (or cults etc) actually take elements of the SCs into them.
