Ok so last night it took like a few minutes to make some burning wreckage effects for my vehicles. An electronic candle and some fluff and paint and bam it was done and it looks good.

Anybody have any ideas for quick and easy effects similar to these? For anything on the table.

Its pretty cool to see I think.

Miniwargaming has some pretty easy cheapo stuff like that.

If you have any old broken mishapen abused vehichles you can easily just hack it apart a bit and make a small rock face or rubble and make a little crash scene lots of people do that. It is cheap if you have broken vehicles around

I have done exactly that smoke effect you linked. It works really well and costs nearly nothing to do!

I do have a rhino I somehow ended up with. Might make something like you mentioned with that.

Cotton badding. My wife had a ton of this. Took it outside, broke it up into decent sized pieces, stretched it out. Srpayed light coating of black over it being sure to leave the whitish gray underneath. Then the kids and I gently dabbed orange, red, and yellow in upstrokes from the bottom.

Made a bunch smoke/explosions. My middle daughter makes me put some down every time a plasma gun goes off. Not to mention the vehicle wrecks. Also can be used to simulate a burning building.

Cheap, easy, fun to make.

That meteorite vid is gonna be used to make my commet of cassandra effects.

Yea I might liberate some cotton buds to make mini explosions too. I do have A LOT OF PLASMA in my army so makes sense.
