A couple of days ago a m8 of mine played sentinels of terra and he used the tactics of the sentinels of terra and the imperial fists combined in 1 primary detachment
I guess this is not how it supposed to be played but becouse i dont have a frikkin ipad and fail to look up on the interweb

my question :
can he use both Imperial fists and sentinels of terra chaptertactics combined
aka
tl bolters half range + rerole 1's on full range
tank hunting tank
etc etc

Nope. If your primary detachment is Space Marines, then you can choose Imperial Fists as your Chapter Tactics. You could then ALLY in some Sentinels of Terra, but those ALLIED MODELS ONLY would have the Sentinels of Terra chapter tactics. Or vice versa. You can never have more than one set of chapter tactics in a single detachment.

A Sentinels of Terra detachment is chosen using the army list presented in Codex:
Space Marines, and uses the Chapter Tactics (Imperial Fists) special rule.

Why didnt you just ask to see the book?. Assuming Kriswell hasnt got or seen the Sentials book as the above is from it but yes you have to use IF tactics from codex SM when using Sentials of Terra

You cannot Ally Sentinels with IF CT; there is no allowance to do so in the sentinels supplement and the SM Codex is clear that you can only take 1 detachment of a given CT.

That Said the Sentinels have IF CT with an exchange of Bolter Drill to the Close order Bolter drill rule laid out in the Sentinels rules(Effectively T-L at Half Range, and only that with certain weapons plus exceptions).

I play Sentinels often. It goes like this:

Sentinels use all of the IF Chapter Tactics
Bolter Drill - reroll 1s
Siege Master- tank hunter on dev sand dev centurions

However Sentinel detachments substitute the Sentinel's Close Range Bolter Drill for IF Bolter Drill - dropping the reroll 1s
They keep Siege Master
They add Centurion Warsuits -
They add sergeant garadon
Must select Sentinel relics not SM ones
If Warlord is non-Lysander Sentinel then must select Sentinel traits

the reason i didnt ask to see the book was it was a friendly game (and i still won) but next week we have a tourney and i am looking stuff up that i thought that was odd

but he was using pedro cantor (as warlord) can he use him whit the sentinels of terra ?

Technically, yes, since Kantor uses Chapter Tactics(Imperial Fists)
